Persona 3 in a P5 skin. What can I say that the world won't already know by now from reputation alone? It oozes style with a gorgeous aesthetic and phenomenal sound track - now with budget and polish brought in by the Persona 5 bucks. Its one of the best games the industry has produced.

The port is competent with enough features to make it feel like it wasn't just an afterthought on PC. Nothing special, but no major jank so its appreciated.

Every Dragon Quest is a masterpiece worthy of your time. XI is no exception. The style of game within this genre might not be for you, but the high level of craft at play here is undeniable. The ride is simple but enjoyable, with a plot that stays straight forward enough to propel you through the true meat of the game - the classic Town > World Travel > Dungeon Crawl loop established all the way back in the 80s with Wizardry and Ultima as the first DQ's inspirations. The gameplay is tight and refined, and definitely the highlight.

My one caveat and warning - all of what I said was true until the third act. Where, without spoiling it, the plot opens into an interesting and divisive meta narrative framing. It can sour the experience for some, so if the story taking an odd turn potentially concerns you, I might recommend looking up a synopsis - its big enough to maybe be worth avoiding.

Incredibly solid game. Absolutely do recommend, again with that caveat. I don't regret my time with the game but I do wish the plot had chosen to go a different route for the post game.

Its the Star Ocean 2 I grew up loving, but updated in ways that keep it both faithful and fresh feeling. I am loving it!

Easily the definitive version of FF6, given the all the deprecated and downright terrible alternatives that remain out there today.

Its great to have these titles in an official capacity on PC for preservation purposes. Anyone reading this is going to be aware of the changes to some graphical effects and the notorious downgrade of the facial animations, but those do become minor asides in the grand scheme of sitting down and enjoying the game, imo. This is as definitive as it gets, a welcome addition to the library.

Armored Core is back, baby! I have been a fan of this series since the first released on the PSX ages ago. Followed it to the PS2 with AC2 being the first game I owned for the console. Loved it as it hit its stride with the 3rd gen - some of the best mech games I've ever played. And honestly, I never thought it'd come back after it faltered a little. It seemed like Fromsoft and the world had moved on.

But MAN I am so glad to have been wrong. Not only is AC back, this is easily one of the best in the series. Just a fantastic game.

> No always online BS in a single player game

This RPG is anathema to the corporate blood suckery responsible for what is plaguing the industry right now - especially among its contemporaries like Diablo 4.

We just want to play the dang video game. And this delivers. Proof we can still have nice things in [Current Year]

I don't have a lot I can say about this game that hasn't already been said, but better, by others. Its Dark Souls. Its one of the best fantasy RPGs of all time. Fun difficulty, fun and varied builds to try, amazing atmosphere and lore. Its fantastic.
