What the ratings for games I review roughly mean:
A 10 out of 10 game has something for everyone, and everything above average or perfect: story, graphics, sounds, accessibility (aka. quality of life features) etc. It's something which should be played sooner than later, over all else, even though it probably won't age poorly; and, hopefully something everyone can agree on being an all-time classic , regardless of what genre it's from.
A 9 is for anything with a truly exceptional combination of gaming dimensions, like those just partially noted above, that can ideally be recommended to nearly any kind of player, unless they would reject playing the 'entire genre' they see it categorized from. Aka. a Sleeper hit .
An 8 means the game is a 'must play' or 'try once' for almost any audience.
7 . game is worth the money and weight.
6 . game is arguably good; easily not for everyone.
5 . take it or leave it; is what it is; it might be something that's still original 🤷‍♀️
4 . unoriginal game, and makes its genre worse for the wear.
3 . it's worth pointing out why the game is so bad.
2. it's worth pointing out just how bad the game is, not just why.
1. industry hazard/harm; not just the genre.
0. is a formal notice, request, plea and part of a petition to delete this game from Steam .

A nine out of ten game: its hype..

..must buy for anything touch sensitive like a tablet.

In terms of game design alone (roughly translated as replay-ability in practical terms) it's a ten out of ten game with no end; or narrative: the lore is you playing the game, by itself. Every aspect, mechanic and feature that comes with the game, but not quite every joker, has a satisfyingly perfect fit together, with everything else. It feels like an incredibly complete experience. If you're a student or enthusiast of games then it's a must play, right now. This product understood its assignment, and has now become yours.

Looking back after 75 hours, up to writing/editing this, now, I can say I only have the fondest memories of playing, or looking back on all of it, at any point, in no surprising way, as I very deliberately chose to not wait and buy it while on sale. And, I'll continue having more of these memories, hopefully with more people, as they might pick up the game for themselves; at least just so we can talk about it, ie. why it's utterly impossibly to explain to most people why it's a such a f***ing 10/10 rn, and/or why it's not just a card game.

8 out of 10: looks good, plays smooth and controls like a dream!

If you like Devil May Cry, retro games and the indie scene then buy this game.

It's a solid arcade title that feels nothing like a metroidvania - 100% tagged wrong.

Biggest complaint is that it could use more randomization and better design (eg. more/better enemy layouts).
