Early Access Review
(Reviewing experience of the pre-release beta) I recorded a first look/highlights video of this for my channel a few days before release and it made for some fun and entertaining footage! This is a game with serious potential in building capabilities. It is very complex, looking at all the options going into it, but the complexity is clearly a testament to the amount of creative freedom the game allows you to have. There is a ton of room for improvement of course, but It looks like those improvements are being worked on regularly. I hope the development of this game continues into what I know it can be!

This game was probably good for it's time, and I was actually very impressed with how well the game felt at first. But after a while, it's age became more and more apparent. The flaws in the game mechanics became more obvious and frustrating the longer I played, which eventually eliminated my motivation to keep playing. The biggest problem of note is that the quests show where you are supposed to go with a red dot on the map. But many times this dot was either in too general an area to understand where I was supposed to go resulting an a trial and error exploration of that area, or it was just plain wrong. Once it told me to go see someone at an Inn. He was nowhere to be found. I later found the guy walking the streets a few blocks away, and turned in the quest to him there. Issues like this kept popping up more and more. I have to talk to someone, and he isnt where the map says he is. It felt too broken to be worth dealing with anymore.

Also, much of the gameplay felt more like chores than fun. People sending you back and forth across the entire town consecutively for a 30 second piece of dialogue. It seemed unnecessary and boring.

Other than that, the story was interesting, dice and fighting was fun, and the combat was unique and skillful. But these factors weren't able to redeem the negatives for me.
