I bought the vanilla version of this at a convention several years ago, and when I found out about black package on steam. I had to pick it up. The game is very addicting. The difficulty is just about right, and the option to turn off the story helps a lot with replays. It uses relatively low resolution sprites, but its art direction still lends to being an aesthetically pleasing game. It definitely maintaims some charm. There's a lot of low budget danmaku on steam, but I'd have no problem putting this on my shelf next to the big name bullet hell shooters.
