This is a review not exclusively about the Question Arcs, but the Answer Arcs as well. This series is probably one of the greatest things I've ever read — before reading Umineko I had never read before, nor have I ever read since a story I can connect with on such an emotional level that has shaped the way I look at the world; the way I look at people and the way I deal with emotions. I doubt that this series is something that I'll be able to forget as long as I live, it was that emotionally impactful for me.

Every character in Umineko feels real with none of the characters feeling one dimensional: their positives, negatives and motivations all feel genuine and realistic. This makes it possible to empathise with most of the characters in Umineko, even the ones many would be consider to be bad people, allowing for a greater appreciation of the story. This applies especially to the true culprit of the story, who I am able to relate to (and understand) on an extremely personal level.

The music in Umineko is one of the best OSTs I think I've ever heard in any media, and I don't say this lightly. Even after finishing the novel over a month ago at the time of writing, tracks like "Wingless" and "Hope" still have an extreme emotional impact on me, being able to send me into tears within seconds. The emotions conveyed through the OST undeniably had a large impact on why I enjoy this story so much, with every song being undeniably beautiful and fitting the tone of the scenes it's played in.

If you read this, I heavily recommend using 07th mod with Ryukishi sprites and ADV mode, since this will allow you to play with voice acting too, which I believe improves the story immensely.
