In my younger days, I was, for a big while, a hardcore gamer. Now I'm 35, but I still play 3 to 4 hours almost every day. I had never ever complained of any other matchmaking system before, even though I had felt frustrated here and there in the past. When I read these types of comments in the past, I always thought this to be a skill issue more than anything else. Fast-forward to 2025, and after more than 25 years playing games, this is the first time ever I had quitted a game because of matchmaking. I was about to uninstall it, and then I decided to leave a review first.

This has to be, the worst matchmaking system to ever exists in gaming history. When I tell you is trash, literally, it is worse than the first algorithm, meaning, the first try ever to even create a matchmaking logic. If you are a solo, duo or trio player, you will be FORCED to LOSE by the matchmaking, and it will create an artificial and DESIGNED frustration on you that supposes to make you play it even more to "get better". Your team will contain, the worst, literally, the worst players on the entire region, and they DO NOT have similar skills to yours.

Imagine this: I saw someone that played an entire match with Hulk, but in human form, because he seemed to not know how to even transform into Hulk. You think bots are bad? The players you'll get, are worse than bots. They will literally walk straight to the middle just to die. Sometimes I even think that there's a possibility I have bots in my team while in Competitive/Ranked lobby.

You'll start winning and you'll feel great, until is your time to lose. There's a big thread on Reddit about this topic, and also here on Steam. Once the honey moon is over, this game will be death, similar to what happened to xDefiant (for different reasons tho) When is your day to lose, you'll lose, EVERY SINGLE MATCH, or best-case scenario, you'll win a close one. |

What a way to ruin what would be, otherwise, one of the best hero shooters out there.

Game cannot run 4K with Ray Tracing off and everything in low on a 3080 GPU. The stuttering is too much, going from 80 to 15 fps every 15 seconds. Also, and even worse than performance, HDR is broken beyond imagination. First time in my life that I see washed and horrible colors on a OLED gaming monitor. It will run SDR, doesn't matter if you turn on HDR or not. This game without HDR look worse than Xbox 360 DeadSpace on a fat 360p tv. This is way, and I mean way worse than Cyberpunk day one release.

I'm 31 years old. I grew up in the era when the greatest JRPG were made. With the exception of Tales of Berseria, I have been tired, searching for a JRPG that can match the quality of the JRPG's of the past, without any luck. I have been following this project since it's beginnings. No, I'm not a backer, shame on me, and I didn't wanted to play the Early Access game. I wanted the full experience from the gate go, and I just had it.

I just finished the game. This is not the greatest JRPG of all times, but it's definitely between those games that can change your world and life view. Midgar Studio delivered on their promise to create a game that could match the quality of the great JRPG's of the past.

Playing on PC for more than 7 years and this is my first review ever. This is how bad this is, with show stoppers bugs. Trying to play with a friend (not remote play), game keeps pausing by itself. This is ridiculous. Will never ever buy from you guys again. Game keep pausing saying my partner paused it. We are playing with controller, and she even disconnected controller, mouse and keyboard, and the game wont start because it says that she is pausing the game. What a trash bs. $60 wasted and thrown into the trash. Her PC plays with a Radeon 570, if that helps in something. You clearly don't have testers in your department. Horrible.

EDIT: After reading other reviews, I have also noticed that for single player, the save file doesn't work. It gets corrupted immediately after saving, so you either pass the whole game in the first try, of there's No Hope, as the game title should be. You should be ashamed of yourself.
