I have been playing spintires from the start... I started with the free spintires which is not in steam, that game was a great start and mods made it more fun. The mods were pretty hard to install and you really needed to take backups to save if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up (that was pretty ez to do). The spintires that was released on steam was better than the free version and it was fun to play, but that game never got updates. This new spintires (mudrunner) looks way better than the regular and this has better physics and the mud looks more realistic. After hearing the story you really can appreciate the developer.

If you havent heard the story, it goes like this:

Oovee is the original publisher and stopped paying the Developer.

The Dev, Pavel Zagrebelny, luckily owns the rights to the game engine and has done some work on it despite not being paid.
For him to give us these updates, he had to go through a DIFFERENT PUBLISHER to get it out to us.
The original Spintires will NEVER receive an update ever again as Oovee has taken the money from that game and started an entirely new business that has nothing to do with video games.

The new publisher isn't just going to do all the work of setting everything up for this Dev and not make any money. For sure you understand every business needs to make money, right?

Now that Pavel Zagrebelny is working with a new publisher, you will start seeing regular updates to this game.

With a new game engine and new ranking system it would be 10/10
