Great game. It's simple yet challenging. The music and art really brings together a cozy yet action-packed experience.

Would definitely replay it in the future! Devolver Digital bringing us great games time and time again.

Great game that is momentarily ruined by weird platforming sections and bullet sponge enemies. If I wanted to play a platformer, I wouldn't start up Wolfenstein. 8/10.

A short but sweet experience. I've never played many games like this (RPG Maker games?), but the characters and story made the few hours worthwhile. Don't expect anything mind-blowing or a storytelling masterpiece, nonetheless I'm really glad I found this game. Do give it a shot as it goes for quite cheap as well.

If you're Chinese, the games feels hella authentic. As mentioned in other reviews, the game heavily revolves around the historic events of Taiwan during the White Terror period [en.wikipedia.org].

Gameplay wise, its just a point and click where you collect items and clues to progress through the story. One playthrough takes around 3 -4 hours with two endings. Regardless, the atmosphere and presentation make the short experience really worthwhile.

It gets really boring and tedious eventually. The combat, which is often praised, eventually boils down to button mashing and using the same chain of combos that output the most damage. The quests can be really interesting (i.e. the House of Ballads quest line), but eventually you just want to get to the quest marker on your map quicker and get it done with just to get the rewards.

Perhaps I've played too much of it over a short time frame, and the game should be taken in slowly and patiently. But comparing it to Skyrim and Dark Souls which were both released a year before this game, I simply can't deny how much better both these games are in terms of world building and combat respectively.

If you're like me, you probably learned about this game after beating the Hotline Miami games and wanted more.
12 is Better Than 6 definitely offers a similar experience with its unique art style, along with a hands-on reload mechanic that may or may not contribute to the fun or frustration of the experience.
Game is rather short, get it on sale. I got it for free from Humble in 2018.

Give this a shot if you enjoyed the Hotline Miami games. It may be a bit on the short side, but the gameplay is definitely fun while it lasts. Probably won't give much replayability other than to 100% it, but the way the game presents itself in its art and feel is probably worth the short ride with it.

Destroy your frame rate in sandbox mode, or join community servers and bask in the glory of loading screens.

10/10, would wait half an hour to join servers anytime.
