Early Access Review
R.E.P.O. is a roguelike game about stealing and trying to live to tell the story. It is best enjoyed in a party of 3 to 6 players. Flee or fight a variety of monsters, that will pursue and haunt the players. Try to minimize money losses as everything can be damaged if handled improperly. Run, crouch, hide, slide, and tumble across generated levels, try to get as many valuables as you can, then spend it all in the shop on upgrades to increase the chance of survival on your next job.

45 hours in, I can see some of the flaws that need to be fixed, and I pray the developers support this game for a long time, even after its release. Right now, the game doesn't scale according to number of players; It also has issues with spawning monsters, monsters spawning silently too close to the player; A lack of interesting upgrades and items in the shop (some items are too good, while others are plainly bad); The lack of level variety; And the lack of customization.

I feel there is a lot that the developers can learn from the modding community, and I hope those ideas get implemented officialy: chance based shared upgrades, scaling monster and valuable spawns to amount of players in lobby, crafting system, more usable items, randomized classes, and more maps. Also, the game has a lot of potential for collaborations with other games, like bringing challenges, monsters, and items from other games as valuables.

R.E.P.O. has a lot of potential. It's just a matter if the developers believe in it and work hard to shape and deliver a polished experience for its players.

Of Wizards and Wands, Noita's objective is simple: do not die. Avoid projectiles, environment hazard, elementals, and even your own spells, as you delve deep into a world full of secrets, of unimaginable horrors and situations. Decision making takes the center stage as everything in it is alive and interactable. Build a wand that will destroy everything in your path, or that will accidentally destroy its wielder: you.

The hardest game I've ever played in my entire life, Egging On presents the challenge of guiding a shell-repairing wobbly egg to the top. The accurate hitboxes of the surfaces and walls, and the eggcelent sound design makes this a polished eggsperience. I do recommend the mode with Checkpoints for the faint of heart. Egging On will truly test you.

Driving a truck carrying highly explosive nitroglycerine is the only way out of this prison of a town in the middle of nowhere.

With 3 gameplay challenges (two are unlocked after completing the first), swivel, reverse, boost, and explode multiple times in this revving driving adventure.

As of today, there are some minor optimization and bugs, but the game is in a playable state. The trucks control really well and are responsive, and there are three different ones to choose from, with different characteristics.

I also quite liked the voice acting and presentation. I hope the developer eventually expands it, introducing perhaps new maps, or adding modding capabilities to the game.

Length: from 45 minutes (not exploding once) to about 8 hours

Baby Steps is good. It's becoming one of my favorite games of all time very quickly. Currently nine hours in, I've managed to find a multitude of hats, and little secrets. Climbed places and witnessed incredible views. The cutscenes are fun to watch and Nate's reaction to things is captivating. I've laughed over and over as I climbed and fell down many places, always wondering if there's a way up or around.

I haven't explored that much yet from what I saw the game has to offer, but I am already hoping it gets updates with more maps, and modding! I would love to see not only an expanded story, but also would love if it received official mod compatibility so people can create their own maps.

Let's take it one step at a time!

Blender is the easiest to learn and best for 3D -- and it's completely free!

Some may argue that it lacks some functionality, but that can be easily solved by add-ons, and a lot of them are just a tick away to enable, in the program's options.

Let's keep knowledge free, learnable, and shareable, for everyone and the future generations!

I'm writing this with 20 hours in and having bought CORE KEEPER just after 1.0 release.
This is a NO SPOILERS REVIEW!

!====VERDICT=================!
If you were the type of person in STARDEW VALLEY that would spend most of their time in the mines and exploring, CORE KEEPER is for you!
!============================!

CORE KEEPER has great pixel art polish: It has cute art, character, enemies, and more, coupled with amazing reflection and lighting tech that makes the world feel alive.

The music is very calming and doesn't bother.

The controls are intuitive and are easy to pick up, and can be comfortably played on both controller and keyboard&mouse setups.

CORE KEEPER shines very bright when you bring someone with you, and it's very easy to do so, with "Game ID" sharing. It's easy to hop in and out of a game at any time, and ingame chat support makes it easy to communicate.

The gameplay loop revolves around EXPLORATION and expanding your crafting options. EVERYTHING you do in the game will accrue experience, even moving around. You'll get points and then you can spend those points into a three tiered talent tree that accomodates your favorite playstyle. CORE KEEPER also makes it easy to reset your skills in case later on you want to try something new with your skills. Even FISHING in this game will translate to combat buffs eventually, a passive way to encourage players to engage with ALL aspects of it.

As for gear, you have the option to switch between 3 different sets: you can gear up for adventure, for mining, for gardening, or whatever mix you choose to be. Fighting playstyle is malleable, with melee, ranged, magic, minion, and with each player getting pet companions that excel in different areas while having randomized skill trees out of a specific pet type pool.

I recommend not watching any trailers or media and just jumping into it! There are so many things to discover, and really, the sense you get from discovering what each thing does, and how to best use them, will make for hours and hours of fun!

It has native MODDING support with community pumping out incredible work that increases accessibility, adds quality of life features, and explores different map seeds.

It has been a long time coming for this game, having spent a lot of time in early access, and I can't wait to see what the developers and the community have in the future for it.

Let's roll, Keepers!!

"Animal Well" is a true gem of a game. Its charm captivates you from the moment you start playing and never lets go. Perfect for those who love exploring, the game offers a wealth of platform action and jumping. The map is vast and filled with secrets that keep you constantly engaged and curious.

The game's sense of humor is another high point. It has made me smile, laugh, and be surprised more times than I can count. It's not just a game; it's an experience that touches your heart and tickles your funny bone.

The sound design is exceptional. Every sound effect has its place and purpose, complementing the atmosphere beautifully. The game is mostly silent, allowing you to immerse yourself in the ambiance and surroundings. But when the music kicks in, it takes you on a roller coaster ride that you won't forget anytime soon.

In my opinion, "Animal Well" is a masterpiece in game design. I would happily crown it as my 2024 Game of the Year.

Baldur's Gate 3 keeps awing me over and over. The characters, the voice acting, the lore, the quests. It's all too good! A masterpiece of a game.

I hope it wins game of the year and that it keeps selling tons of copies. We need more games like this in this day and age of fast consumerism: a carefully crafted, heart-fully molded package, with no bs micro transactions, spying ware, or marketing sullies.

Just imagining the game but in actual tabletop would be of out of this world proportions -- that the game has managed to capture that and compress it into a visual and streamlined scenario, with lively characters, has been outstanding, to say the least.

Many claps, Larian, many claps
