ive played the wasteland 2, xcom, and i think i like turn based rpg's. But when it's live like this, i just wasn't too thrilled first by my realization of how much of a waste of time it is to kill wolf packs/dark spawns, wait 30 seconds for me to heal after the battle, walk around a little more and do the same thing. There wasn't really anything varied between the battles..for example there weren't fences I could hide behind, or use the environment in different ways to make the encounters less boring. I was a dwarf noble warrior and I found the story I was going down was starting to get interesting, but I noticed that I wasn't really having that much fun. So I decided to uninstall it. I gave it 4 hours of playtime - but it didn't hook me!

a fantastic puzzle game, great for puzzle newbies and also for seasoned veterans. The concept of the puzzles is simple: draw a line starting from the circle, and ending at the nib. The challenges come in having your lines separate certain symbols in the grid, making certain shapes, etc.

The real reason why this game shines is because of the fresh ideas it throws at you. Unlike a pure puzzle game like Sodoku, Sokoban, etc., this game additionally uses its environment to make you solve grid puzzles. So instead of focusing on the grid, you have to focus on how the grid interacts with your environment. For example, you may find shadows on your grid that tell you where to go, or you may find your grid traces into a tree, or your grid controls a ramp to get to the next area. This is a fresh idea for me and I really enjoyed it.

I will say that the entire island is free for you to explore. I accidentally went straight into the hardest part of the island (The Town), had no idea what to do or what any of the symbols meant. There were lots of other parts that took me some time to discover what the "trick" to solving them were (for example, The Desert). I recommend that you spend time exploring different parts of the island if you are stuck or confused, because some things you learn in certain parts of the island are reused later in other parts.

One other con is that, even though the grid puzzles use the environment in interesting ways, it still doesn't change that the idea of solving grids is inherently boring. You are staring at boxes. Although, it made it simple enough for my parents to get involved, and they helped me with a few puzzles!

Additionally, there is one grid near the end that flashes black and white that was a literal headache to solve. Beware if you have epilepsy.

Some of the puzzles are tough, but since the grids are usually 4x4 - 6x6 in size, if you turn the game off and retry tomorrow, usually you will get it in a few minutes--that's how I was able to solve the ones I was stumped on. This is why I think beginners still have a good chance of completing and enjoying this game.

This game will give you aha moments and will impress you with level design. I think all puzzle-lovers will enjoy this. I would not recommend this game if you've tried previous puzzle games and did not enjoy them. Additionally, if you play for a couple hours but don't like it/you aren't engaged, you should refund it, because the game likely isn't going to be enjoyable for you.

I will also say that there are a lot of people who think this game is life-changing, crazy/amazing, best game ever, etc. No, it's not life-shattering nor the first ever game to do this stuff. It is in my opinion fun, but it isn't perfection; it's not as fun as you can get by playing other games. You are normally sitting staring at a grid for minutes on end, or walking around moving your camera trying to look at things with different angles. It's not super engaging unless you let it be, and clearly it connected with a lot of people who let it be. For me, it was just another puzzle game with occasionally cool mechanics =)

fantastic game. It's similar to Metroid. As you progress in the game, you gain new powerups (eg stronger sword) and better mobility options (Dashing, walljumping, etc.) It controls very much like Super Meat Boy, but with fighting. The story is also really great and the music is great too. Highly recommend, I played 30 hours of this game, and there is still some more content for me to do.

Pretty boring. The gameplay isn't fun, the story is sometimes funny but not enough to enjoy my time playing. I played it because so many people raved about it, but it's really just not fun...try a game like Hollow Knight instead, which actually has engaging gameplay and entertained me

I got this game from SteamGifts since it was free! Then I played this game for free cards! Then I played this game for a Steam Sale as a quest. And now, I'm reviewing it to complete a quest for the 2019 Summer Sale!

This is a puzzle game that is a lot of fun. There are 87 levels in total, and every level throws a wrench at you at a different angle; i.e., every level has you doing something unique, some new orientation you haven't tried before or just a completely new mechanic. You will occasionally get frustrated by the lack of instructions and the forced mousing around to find/master a new game mechanic, but perhaps these annoyances are necessary to better enjoy the full flavor of the game? The controls are simple: just WASD or arrow keys, but these simple controls are complexified by way of the terrain and, of course, the requirement of cooking the sausages.

Is it worth 29.99 USD? I beat the game in 29 hours, which meant that I basically paid 1 dollar every hour to play. Yes, that was worth it to me. Although I am sure you could pick it up cheaper later on (It was in the Humble Bundle once).

As you play the game you notice that you will master old techniques that you were utterly confused by earlier, but even if you try to understand all of the mechanics you have previously been shown, nearly every puzzle requires a new way of thinking--whether that be through rolling, pushing, spoking, or causing fall a sausage.

One of the great things about this game is that each level is compact. This means that you can get a map of the current level in your head. When you exit the game, if you are like me, you will be thinking of ways to overcome the level in your head when you are not playing--I used a pen and paper during my work lunches to solve some of the harder levels! And I wouldn't be surprised if many others did too.

There is a story to the game, but it is connected by loose straws. The story is made to be strange, and to attempt to give reason as to why you are rolling giant sausages on a remote island. When you complete the game it may be fun to read fan theories about the story.

I was thoroughly entertained during my playthrough, and I do recommend it to those persons who are interested in "a simple 3d puzzle game."

This game has great graphics, beautiful ones I really like. This is a hard platformer with clunky controls. If you are expecting the immediate response controls like how Super Meat Boy does it, then you won't be getting that. Music is not "beautiful" as other people say..it sounds like arcade music. Don't waste your time on it, imo, unless you are specifically looking to play a platformer

Fun and frustrating platformer. Kind of similar to super meat boy, but the controls aren't as tight, and also you have a gun. Fun nonetheless. The game will run you about 2 hours to complete. Also the graphics are clean and attractive

This game will get you sunglasses in TF2 so that's why most people bought it. It's a fun poker simulator that I enjoyed. You can bluff pretty easily is my only gripe. I like hearing the stories of the characters too, even if they're repeated. But let's be real, that's the only reason you'd buy this--there are free Poker Simulators with better AI than this that you can find easily online. But this one has some love to it simply because of the characters.
