Honestly, I didn't like it at first. I'm a longtime Paradox gamer, going back to their earliest titles, and I guess I didn't like how "easy" it felt. But there's so much more to this game than what's on the surface. It's much more accessible to new players than previous titles and I think that's what threw me off at first. But, once you get into the new game systems, theres so much you can do.

Backend server issues notwithstanding, the amount of polish this game has as an Early Access Survival MMO is unmatched by previous titles in the genre. Once you are able to get into the game the game servers have no lag, I have experienced very few bugs, the controls feel great, the walkers, to my surprise are awesome. They have weight that you can *feel* in game. Momentum going down hills and until you start unlocking torque modules for them, they struggle going up dunes. The combat feels good, the few PVP actions I have been a part of have been very enjoyable. The ability to pack up bases to move makes rebuilding as we have to switch servers less tedious. The ability to log my avatar and up to 5 walkers out in a safe location is game changing for people like me, who as we get older, have less time to dedicate to protecting our crap 24/7. This game is awesome. Once they get the backend server issues sorted this game will absolutely stand out above the rest of the survival genre.

Eyeballed this game for about 6 months before picking up for 50% off. I would happily recommend this at full price if you're into 1800's era combat.
