Say what you wanna say about the grindy magic drawing system and confusing storyline, Final Fantasy 8 still has the best soundtrack of the entire franchise. Nobuo Uematsu is at his peak here, thank you for creating such a masterpiece!

Mixed review: A Case of Distrust is an ok detective game, but it's too short (about 2-3 hours). And the plot twist is, in my opinion, a bit too unrealistic. Also as the game pushes on, you have more and more clues to brute-force if you're stuck, which kinda makes the game repetitive and un-detective at the end.

Fun game for the first 15-30 minutes. Then it just drags on for another 2 hours.. This game needs more unique and impactful mechanics, as right now different styles in yelling NO and methods to irritate coworkers don't seem to make a difference. I have to check the 'No' option on Recommendation for this one.

Not a game for me: Mediocre story and characters, obscure and convoluted puzzles in three different timelines with lots of riddles and no clear solving order. I read a guide to proceed to the end since I realized I didn't have any fun solving these puzzles, there are only a few gotcha moments but lots of "what?" reactions after "solving" them.

However, this remaster's commercial success still makes me glad that adventure genre is thriving and has evolved, so we can have various sub-genres in adventure games to choose from. Here are some of my favorites: What Remains of Edith Finch, INSIDE, Danganronpa, Unavowed.

Playing this DLC is like watching a movie which you already know the ending but still cry at the end :(

Definitely more fleshed out and has more food variety than the original Cook, Serve, Delicious!, but the 3rd installment is also more repetitive and more difficult. Recommend only to all the hardcore typers out there who don't mind memorizing some simple keystrokes, and you won't probably get far in the game if using a controller for this one.

Yakuza Kiwami is not as extensive compared to Yakuza 0 in terms of game play: There are fewer amusing side quests, wacky mini games, one neighborhood and one playable character compared to two in Yakuza 0. However, this is still a great game in its own right: Shorter main story of Yakuza Kiwami is definitely more focused, combat is flashier albeit still very repetitive, and the game serves as a critical segue into Yakuza franchise as a whole. Highly recommended for fan of the series, if you are new then perhaps you might want to start with Yakuza 0 first.

Despite slow-paced gameplay and rather linear story progression for a visual novel, Eliza did a phenomenal job with voice acting and raising some thought-provoking topics/concerns between technology and mental health. In addition, the solitaire card game in Eliza is addictive and well-designed, showcasing Zachtronics' talent in making puzzle games.
