The game might feel like it starts off kind of slow. Many of the weapons you have access to in the early game have low rates of fire. But at the same time, it's not too hard to deal with early-level zombies using these slightly underwhelming guns. So like I said, the start can feel a little slow...

HOWEVER, it can offer a surprising amount of fun if you spend some time with it, get to understand it, grind for gear and levels, and start venturing into the higher-level areas.

I often play it for a week or two and then take a break and rotate back to it again.

You can easily host a server with or without a password and have random people or your friends join.

For a free co-op zombie shooter with some vibes inspired by older zombie-type games, it really is pretty decent.

One of the crazy things is that the developer is, as far as I know, just one guy who has been actively working on the DF games since... well, probably before 2008 (DF1 open beta started sometime in 2008).
