Ahh if it weren't for Duke Nukem! Such a worthy icon of the much better FPS shooter than some overrated FPS (and I'm not looking at Call of Duty here, but Valve's crap). Simply get it, if not outside Steam.

Most overrated video game of all time. And ironically, after the characters in the game finish their dialogue, you are left alone again, shooting alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie after alien zombie...

First thing you should note is that you should buy the game when its on sale due to how short it is. Despite the shortness, I still got a blast from the humor involved and the DLC involved in-game! The game mirrors how the industry is like now and pumps it up to extremes. So extreme its actually laughable. For example, one DLC was about Canadian dialogue, another DLC was about a NPC that is not pleased with himself, etc.

The game is easy, but in "Live Freemium or Die" there is some platforming and spikes that can kill you, although there are no lives and the checkpoints aren't far about.

Despite the easiness and shortness of it, the game seems humorous to laughable extends and the retro like graphics actually look pleasing (assuming you disable the HD DLC pack!)

This expansion to Half-Life is much longer than Blue Shift is and also, much harder to get through. There are times when you're going to get frustrated, but I still consider this a short and sweet package with the army flavor in it. Not to mention the training section of the game. That training section in the military barracks was amusing and also felt realistic. I totally recommend this game.

Just get the 2004 CD version from outside steam through whatever means and install mods over it for widescreen support, modern controllers, etc, as well as new stuff like Dreamcast seasonal DLCs and events. Don't support or buy shoddy, low-effort ports with less features.
