A very well done remaster of the original games. My only complaints are the lack of consistency in control schemes, and some of the new music is a little lackluster compared to the original.

Fun, always wish there was more to it than same old deathmatch.

I'm kind of undecided about this game.

The bad:
*Combat is a little too easy once you realize allies can use items on -each other-. The final battles were just not quite as challenging as the late cannon fodder.
*At the beginning, everything that's happening is a bit much to take in. The game kind of leaves you to figure junk out on your own.
*I'm a bit disappointed with the story. One particular twist just didn't do it for me and I hoped it would be revealed to be a lie.

The good:
*Okay, mostly good story. It does a good job of getting you invested.
*Visually awful (good way) and lovely!

Notes:
*Not wholesome!!! NOT! WHOLESOME! A lot of violence of *many types*!
*Do not press F12 cause it exits you to the screen immediately without saving. That was really dumb.

Early Access Review
Imagine agario but uglier, laggier, 3d, and dead.

Good:
-The mechanics weren't exactly revolutionary, but were new to me, and were quite flexible. The game largely leaves you to learn new qualities and uses of items on your own, with much less spoon-feeding than Portal did. Some criticize this fact, but I think it actually fits with the narrative in a way. Even from the beginning, you see puzzles more "outside the box" than anything in Portal (a game I've spent many hours replaying, mind you).
-The story was alright. It could be called fluff-y for the amount of time dialogue spends on a single subject. Every line was carefully written, and uhh... most... are relevant.

Neutral:
-I feel that I should have seen higher framerates given the apparent general graphical simplicity of the levels. Whatever the case, this game presented the issue on a much smaller and more tolerable scale than, say, Hitman 2.
-When walking around without your... energy gun thingy, your character's hands will occasionally flitter onto the bottom of the screen. It feels nitpicky to say this is a criticism but... why?

Criticisms:
-While the complexity of levels does ramp up, the ordering of them is sort of... wrong. Some levels near the end were just too easy.
-A lot of very relevant dialogue is tucked away in spots you might not reach, or even notice. Some of the information I learned in these spots felt absolutely vital to the story. I can only imagine how much shallower the game must feel to someone who did not successfully read these hidden gems.
-There are two "endings", but the decision feels like it carries no weight. From a narrative perspective, the "evil" ending is at least a little more interesting.

Recommendations:
-Turn on level streaming. Pauses for loading are more frequent but much shorter. (And yeah... it really isn't level streaming.)
-Make Tab your "Back" key. It's much better than Backspace, which you'll be taking your hand off the mouse frequently to press.

Play it.
