This is going to be a review of Fallout 4 without any mods, with the DLCs since I've played those off of a friend's install.

The base game, is enjoyable, but it isn't a good Fallout sequel and it runs like garbage when compared to other games, my current PC can run Doom eternal no problem, but has an aneurysm running FO4. The RPG Mechanics have been watered down and replaced with serviceable shooting mechanics, but if you played FO:NV or even FO3 for these then maybe you should go play Borderlands or something more along those lines.

As a mod platform and not as a game, it's superb, all of the game's issues can be solved with mods, even (to an extant) the story and role playing. If you like modding the hell out of your games, then this is a good buy on sale, otherwise go play New Vegas, at this point even that runs better than this mess.

While the game has as many plot holes as the bullet holes you just put into that motorized patriot, it is nonetheless a fun experience that ties its themes together in a nice way. I would most definatley recommend this game to people who haen't had the ending spoiled to them yet.

With mods this is one of my favorite singleplayer games to date, without them the game is a bit slow with only a few things left to do after hitting max level. Despite this the vanilla game can keep you enterained for well over 30 hours if you enjoy RPGs, something that this game does much better than Fallout 4 and to an extant, Fallout 3. If you're looking for a good RPG game in the Fallout franchise i suggest choosing this over 4 or 3 as it is much cheaper than 4 while featuring superior mechanics in every aspect besides crafting and gunplay.

Its a decent change from the mouse manuvering MOBAs like LoL and it offers great gameplay.
