Just dripping with charm! What a great introduction to the project!
For curious horror players, this is a short introductory chapter with some fun atmosphere; you won't find any big challenges in this installment. However, be warned: Rambley will melt your heart! <3
I'll definitely be tuning in for Chapter 2 to see where the adventure goes!

I'm not a huge card-game player. Strategy games can be frustrating when they're too deep or otherwise require long sessions amidst a busy schedule. This game dives just deep enough to tease your brain while painting with broad enough strokes to keep from going stale! A full run from start-to-finish takes about 30-45 minutes on average, so you can make multiple attempts in a short sitting, in case you run into some unfortunate RNG during your game or just want to try another strategy. For those who already play card games, there's a ton of satisfying, damage-spewing plays and combos that feel great~! On top of giving new ways to smash enemy ships, different character combinations make for some hilarious dialog.

Really though, the real gold of this game is in the story and banter. I laughed a lot and cried a little. I wish I could spend even longer with this cast of crazy characters. It's not that the game is short; everyone is just so charming!

Feels polished, and the character/cutscene animations are solid and lively. Being an introduction chapter, it is not long, but it is considerably longer than I expected with multiple sequences and mini-games. I'm left with a lot of questions as to where the story is going, but I'll wait until Chapter 2 to make any judgements about the narrative.

This game is more of a sequel than I could have ever asked for. The gameplay loop remains unchanged from the previous game, but the character synergies and skills provide even more interesting combinations than before, while some of the new enemies make demands of your strategic abilities.

The plot makes some interesting turns, and I thought the story had ended twice before it finally concluded. I'm left wanting more, and I can't wait for the next one!

A great arcade-like time management game to play with friends!
Play with friends!
Don't play without friends!
You will never want to strangle another AI teammate more than the one in this game, and you will love every second of it!

More full and fleshed-out than your average indie horror title! The amount of voice acting and effort put into the lore makes me want to see what other creepy things may be happening elsewhere on Scythe...

...Is Asset Chuck supposed to be scarousing...?

My only frustration comes in that I now crave a first-person line-cook game that focuses on and polishes the kinds of cooking minigames in HHBF, but for the life of me I can't find one! Looks like HHBF also goes on the list of best cooking simulators right now...

If you want a speedy, over-the-shoulder PvE shoot-em-up, Warframe has you covered--for free. Yes, actually free. If you like blowing bad guys to bits with a seemingly-endless variety of weapons, Warframe is the best bang for your buck you'll get. Cosmetics are the only thing that cost money, and if you like this game as much as I have, supporting the creators isn't something you regret.

Like a lot of games with a sea of content to wade through, it might seem slow at first as you build your first weapons and tackle your first missions. But, when you get to see your weapons and suits hit maximum level and you start to know what it feels like to completely SHRED through waves of Corpus and Grineer, it feels SO good. Maxing-out your equipment is far from the end, though: As you progress, you inevitably try a lot of weapons, skills and tactics in Warframe, and you end up finding styles and combos that resonate with you. Your choice of weapons and Warframes start to feel personal, and it can be very satisfying.

I watched this game grow since Beta. It's been a real trip; this game won't stop changing and adding new pieces. I used to play this game all the time, and now I only play it occasionally or in bursts, but every time I return there's something new to explore. There's new mission types, pretty new maps, new enemies to beat up, and new stories. This game's plot has taken a long time to blossom, but it's definitely blown my mind multiple times already.

Despite all the new content, the core remains the same: Blow up baddies, get loot, build new weapons and Warframes, master new weapons and grow your arsenal. It's actually the consistency of the gameplay that keeps me loving this game. I can suit up in my fastest frame, run wild and soar through the air, mowing down everything in my path, and feel totally free; it's almost like meditation. And yet, when I desire a challenge, I can still find one.

It's fun, fast-paced, and free, so give it a shot. Or, if you tried it a long time ago, give it another shot; you might find something new to enjoy!

Owlboy gave me an emotional ride I won't soon forget.

From Otus' first struggles until the very end, I felt for the characters on a deep level, and I cherished every tear I shed watching them fight on. This game just wouldn't stop growing on me, and I think I feel a bout of fanart coming on!

I'll admit, the controls took some getting used to. It's not really a criticism though; I get a little tired of the same control scheme every time. I've played a lot of platformers, and they're one of my favorite kinds of games, but sometimes I need something fresh, and this game gave me a few challenges I wasn't expecting!

Reading through some of the other comments, maybe I need to admit that Owlboy is not a perfect game, if there ever even was one. But, I don't think it needs to be to get my stamp of approval. I don't believe this game was meant to be a fine-tuned action platformer with super-tight controls and speed-running potential. Maybe I can't say for sure what this game was 'meant to be,' but if I could make a recommendation? Put on something comfy, silence or ignore some of your social media for an hour or so (please try to ignore your Steam friends blowing up your chat with cries of "HOOT," yes, I know it's hard), and take your time with Owlboy. Break it up into a few sessions of play and follow the story, smell the roses, bump into the occasional secret room and look for hidden dialog scenes between the characters.

And as for the pricetag? It's shameful that games keep having their prices dragged down just because another game may have sold for cheaper. Taking it easy on your wallet is good, but don't forget to support people who pour their energy into making beautiful things. I'd gladly pay $25 for this game, but if you catch it on sale, then treat yourself to a fun, easy-going platformer that won't fail to make you smile.
