Was interested in picking up 1 and 2 but 1 isn't on sale? Do you need to play 1 to understand 2?

I am now a fan of this game and this game studio. I ordered myself official merch. WHEN IS PART 3!?

I like the gameplay but after the intros that have you go through using them in Fuga 1 and 2 respectively, I don't feel it's every really much of a threat or anything beyond a gimmick. I would like to brainstorm how it can better merged into the experience. Narratively it's powerful and awful, but in gameplay you'll never really come to use it, if anything, you'll just reset or whatever. Idk....

this is UEVR compatible albiet a little buggy but I dont really know what I'm doing. to make it work in UEVR I mainly had to turn on scene compatibility mode in compatibility options in advanced options. Once turned on this (demo) looked beautiful in VR. I had almost given up and assumed this was a fully 2d game. again I dont know what I'm doing so I couldn't fix the double "vision" (made copies but both were accurately stereoscopic oddly)...
