Here's an update after putting in 37 additional hours from my initial review.

The game plays fantastically, but I honestly can't recommend that anyone buy the game... yet.

Its a fantastic game. Gun play, team play, and movement are smooth. The game is challenging but not frustratingly so. Unfortunately, the game is riddled with bugs and the devs have been making some questionable adjustments. I will give credit where credit is due, the devs have been pretty good at quickly addressing any bugs that pop up in the game, but I would say its still a ways off from a smooth experience. In regard to the adjustments, to me it seems as if they don't quite have a grasp on how to balance weapons, enemies, and mission types. This can lead to huge difficulty spikes in certain missions, as well as drastic balancing to player weapons, equipment, and strategies.

This game is great, and given its current trajectory it will grow into an online gaming staple, but in its current state I would recommend holding off or waiting for a sale.

Do not buy this game in it's current state. The ridiculous amount of bugs and connection plroblems that plague this game, the absence of any matchmaking system whatsoever, and the huge balance issues (Planetary Devastation, Universal Pull, Lariat, Claws, Paralysis Seals, Feather Illusion) make PvP in this game pretty much unenjoyable even with friends.

Before you guys come out and just say I'm whining because I'm bad, I had a 64% winrate over 80 games as a solo player, and I still think it's broken.

Solo/Co-op content is repetitive. Almost every single mission is the exact same, just with a different boss.

No rewards for completing 100% of the missions and getting promoted to Jonin.

Honestly, as of right now I just cannot reccomend this game. To avoid beating a genocide's worth of dead horses, I'll just be brief with saying that the game is absolutely plagued with hackers at the moment. If you hop into a multiplayer lobby you'd be lucky to not have any aim botter in the lobby. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous and absolutely ruins the multiplayer experience. Either you're running around the map with your ♥♥♥♥ in your hand while your aim botting teammate goes 50 - 0 or you get insta spawn-headshotted.

Also, arguably just as bad is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loot boxes. I (unfortunately) bought the season pass, but only have 2 DLC weapons due to the fact that I was unable to play during the DLC events. I paid over $100 for this game + season pass and don't even get to enjoy $40 of it because Activision decided to lock their PAID DLC BEHIND MORE PAID LOOT BOXES. Loot boxes are few and far between these days, and when you do get them you only only ever get stupid pistol grips and useless emotes out of it.

Early Access Review
Foxhole is a pretty fun game with a lot of potential. In the 4-5 hours I've played this game, I took control of my team's western front, where we successfully defended our town from 2 directions, then launched a counter offensive and took 2 enemy outposts. It was a great feeling having ~30 people looking to you for orders and carrying out successful attacks.

People say this game isn't as fun when you're playing solo, which is probably true, but I didn't know a single person that I was fighting with, yet I still had a great time. If you take charge and lead some fronts you'll have a great time. I definitely reccommend this game to anyone who enjoys military simulation games.
