Like if Gwent (from The Witcher) and Magic the Gathering had a weird baby that was abandoned in an escape room puzzle, which is itself nested in an Earthbound-esque Matrix world locked in the grip of a megalomaniac. The meta-commentary on gaming versus reality alone is grounds for an academic thesis paper, but the game itself is highly addictive, immersive, and fun. Even at its most frustrating, Inscryption keeps you wanting to get back in there and beat those evil bastards at their own game to figure out what the hell is going on.
