Game is fun, and frankly i dont think it has any real competition in this genre. It is basically trucking from Mad Max, just without bothersome licensing.

All in all it is a fun little game, very reasonably priced.

So why negative review? I cannot finish this game...

There is a massive performance issue when you progress through the story. At the beginning it is fine, but as the game progresses Your FPS drops significantly. I was forced to stop playing waiting for a patch, because I am currently at around 20fps... It is not a graphical issue, I have checked, Fps is stable but low, so my money is that the game loads whole discovered map into memory, and as You progress, You hit a critical point. Unless You have a powerfull setup to brute-force the problem wait for patch before buying.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTILL PERFORMANCE PATCH.

Lets see...
I have played one game IG vs Sisters and I am pretty sure I can review this game...

The bugs and problems that were present in normal game are still here.
I will focus on IG since this is what I played.
- Maruder bomber still doesnt have banner on vehicle depot. For those who dont know what I am talking about, You need to research upgrade to produce units in depot. Depot gains banner that shows that it can produce unit. Soulstorm was a rush job by a different studio, so they didnt bother with details. This is still not fixed, There is no maruder banner.
- Flying units werent fixed. They were added by soulstorm and and engine couldnt properly handle them. It still cant.
- Annoying sisters of battle death sounds. Yes, still soulstorm, Yes still not improved.

This isnt a definitive edition. This is just a highres+texture pack. A quick cashgrab from a studio that has fallen. Three first games were fine but soulstorm was a disaster. And nothing from that disaster was fixed.

Nice remake. I almost refunded it because I have skipped important function without which game is unplayable.

Auto sell/buy in market. Embrace it, because it is necessary to compere with AI.

Will see how dlcs look, but for now it is good Old stronghold.

VCounts need a dlc.

Not orks. Orks had massive update in game 2. Vcounts werent touched for whole game 2. And mildly tweaked in game 3, mostly in positioning, but not mechanics.

Check your priorities, this dlc was not needed.

VCounts werent touched for whole game 2. Halbeard unit wont cut it.

I understand khorne, but ogres?

Norsca wasnt touched for how many years? Lost count.

Sorry, but making a good dlc in a game with over 20 races obligates to do some statistics. And if You have 2 races You didnt make a DLC for over 5 years, you are doing your statistics wrong. You can make greatest wheels in the industry, but if the rest of the car is falling apart, the wheel quality wont matter.

Neferata. End of story.
Norsca in new world. Not up for discussion.

Dlc lacks balance in my opinion.

We have recieved Khorne, Greenskins, Ogres.

Ogres and Khorne are game 3 factions, Greenskins recieved a lot of love in game 3 already.

Meanwhile VCounts and other undead werent touched for YEARS.

Sorry but for me the most important part is subject it touches. And VCounts are so long overdue, they are practically dead now.

Nothing revolutionary.

Everything works mostly fine, just some problems.
Ragdoll physics on corpses is terrible, performance much improved from the demo, a bit of lack of buffing different factions of Your dungeon, bad animations.

All in all a Dungeons game. Nothing spectacular, but will be enjoyable for 30-ish hours.

The game makes a very positive first impression. Interesting setting, Very nice caste building, wide open world with many biomes and mechanics. Unfortunately after a while many flaws become apparent.
I will try to list them:
-Progress hardlocked to boss fights. You will be locked from obtaining better equipment untill You defeat boss with equipment You are SUPPOSED to have to make fight a challenge. For example You cannot mine iron untill You defeat a level 37 boss with equipment hardlocked at level 41.
-Boss fights are tiresome. Dont get me wrong, they are interesting but they are too grindy. Caping level to a boss You make sure he is a challenge, but You dont create a feeling of power so tied to vampire stereotype. Dodging, countering etc for five minutes till boss healthabr depleates. Its a slog.
-Castle relocation. Pure pain. You get all pieces from old caste and need to place them without option of auto disasembly. It took me 3 hours to move my castle...
-Cumbesome control. Played on keyboard and mouse. Maybe Pad is better, but didnt bother to check.

Game is simply not fun, and its clear its by design.
