It's a quick game. less than an hour to an experienced platformer, or near, if you have barely any idea. the art design is minimialistic, and beautiful, runs smoothly on any modern machine. well done.

Overwatch is oft compared to this game, or vise versa, however that is not entirely honest. Overwatch is similar to this game in the same way that Team fortress 2 is similar to Counter Strike. they are both First Person Shooters, they both involve teams, they both involve champions, or classes if you prefer, with unique abilities. Both games take from the idea of using a Dota-clone-eque syhstem of charged abilities with cooldowns and Ultimate abilities. however, for obvious resons, the cast of characters is different in both games, the look and feel of both games is different, Overwatch has a very small margin for error, any mistake can end up with your team wiped. Paladins is a much more forgiving game, it is a much more casual game, the art style is more cartoonish, The community is much more friendly, at least in my experience.

in terms of mechanics, Paladins has to balance all characters against everyone, since once a character is chosen, it is your character for that match. you cannot switch character mid game, which does mean that choices often have to be more stategic at the start.

all-in-all paladins is more like DOTA than it is like Overwatch. and it is a great game to pick up when you feel you have 15 minutes for a match.
