The perfect game to play in class, can confirm. It's fun, simple, and engaging. The pixel art is great, the animations and damage numbers do a decent job of indicating the carnage ensuing on screen. The great tie between mission objective and enemy encounter by popping cells adds a great dynamic to the game I haven't seen before. The more you move around the more enemies you encounter, but you need to encounter enemies to get fuel or else you will run out and start taking damage. You also need to move around to call in the drilling station. I have definitely felt an adrenaline rush whenever I am surrounded by enemies and keep having to pop more of them around me to get away from them. Great game-play loop.

The upgrade system is a bit off right now, though. Whether it's the permanent upgrades or the weapon upgrades you get, they either feel underwhelming or too busted not to get in your run, hardly any of them are in between. Some weapons and buffs don't really feel powerful even when getting their "ultimate" 5th level upgrade. However, this isn't to say there isn't some variety in what you can choose to make a run feel more unique and satisfying to play. Another boss type would be good for the game as there is only one and can be killed pretty easily.

This game is early access so there is plenty to look forward to, but as it is, the game is pretty fun. Really makes you feel like a Swarm Grinder. I love when Bulletsorm or Butcher says, "I am the Swarm Grinder" and then proceeds to grind the swarm. Very fun game. Go Grind the Swarm.

I think this game has everything it needs to be an engaging and fun rougelike. Being a speedy parkour crab wielding a gun is such a fun concept. The enemies and effects they can apply add a lot of chaos to the run. The only thing that could use improving would be the upgrades as there are not many upgrades that change up the game-play all that much. It's also a rather challenging game. I have several hours in Risk of Rain 2 and Gunfire Reborn and I have got to say, Crab Champions' normal difficulty is harder than those games harder difficulties. It definitely has to do with getting used to your Crab's movement speed and traversal moves, but the amount of projectiles that enemies throw at you can get overwhelming. It is definitely a skill issue on my part, but I can see it being frustrating for new players.
Conclusion: Crab Champions is fun and challenging experience, definitely worth the time for rougelike players.

This game if fun because monkey makes balloon go pop. The game play is that of any other tower defense game as you consider tower placement, abilities, and map. However, the main thing that attracts me to the game is the completionist mentality of getting all the medals and the fun challenge that comes with doing so. It's a good pass time for whenever you only have 20 minutes to spare. Not too complicated of a game. Always worth playing.

I remember Star_ playing this game and that made me want to buy it. Aside from there being not many mutations (this games version of character buffs) that actually change or help out very much, there is still a fun and addicting game play loop. The weapons are good though. Each one feels different allowing you to find one that fits your play style. The areas, enemies and bosses all fit the themes in their areas. There is a sense of progress as you blast your way to the Nuclear Throne.

The game is an fun tower defense game with a simple art style. The gore bit mechanic adds to the mayhem of the game play and leaves a satisfying feeling at the end of every level. Overall a good game to play to waste time and earn achievements.
However this is a mobile game and has a revive timer for whenever one of your heroes die, requiring you to use a scarce alternative currency and that can get annoying. But as they say, just get good and that won't ever be a problem.

It's a 6/10. Play it if you are in desperate need of a game to play.
