@j.umpleby Lmao nobody is "scared" of seeing a woman general. Most thinking people find it a noxious and obviously political addition to a series that was previously considered the gold standard for historical strategy. This is closer to science fiction than reality, is aggressively against want the fanbase (who, I'd imagine, is nearly 100% nerdy white guys) want, and is just another example of game developers "trying to do the right thing" in an ultimately patronizing and hamfisted attempt at socially revising the past.

We both know that "historical accuracy" is not the problem you have with tthe game. Have you forgotten that the Romans prayed to two Dieties of War. Mars and Bellona. Mars being the god of war and Bellona being the goddess of war. Depending of the story, she was his wife, or sister. They were also equals, she fought as bravely and valliently as her male counterpart. If seeing a woman on you game screen frightens you so, then perhaps you shouldn't play.
