This review is coming from a PC gamer who prefers M&K to gamepads, that's the way I play every Dark Souls game and finally (mouse fix aside) I can say that the M&K controls on DS1 are working as intended, the native 60FPS support and most important the added benefit of password matchmaking as in DS3 is one if not the best feature of this remaster.

I'm not a PvP player I love this game mostly for its aesthetics, ambiance, PvE combat, atmosphere, level design, and story, It's not a very different experience from the original Prepare to Die edition and in my opinion, that's what makes it great.

Warning: If you have played lots of DS on the original Prepare to Die edition there's little in this remake for you but If you love DS1, feel that you still have some stuff to do or see or have never ever played a Dark Souls game, starting with this one is the best way to get into a world of darkness, sorrow and decadence while engaging in slow, measured and committed combat.

TLDR: Get it if you still feel that you might get out something out of DS1 or have never played this or any DS game, If you're a veteran of DS1, there's little here to justify the purchase.
