As a long time Final Fantasy fan, I've to admit that this game recapture the feeling of first time I played Final Fantasy back in Playstation 1. It is not exactly the same but in a way it reinvented itself. No more turn-based, no more -ra, -ga, -ja magic, although you could say there is still magic in it. But what I see is the series has grown up, just like we are. It is perfectly blended Western RPG such as the Elder Scrolls series and added in JRPG we loved as a kid. I definitely recommended you to give it a try by leaving prejudice and nostaligia behind. This game will make you love Final Fantasy series again.
