Reminds me of both Frog Fractions and The Stanley Parable. I beat it in a single sitting of around 4 hours. It helps if you played a lot of 90's adventure games. Saying any more would probably kill the fun of discovery.

It's a beautiful, heartfelt, and relentlessly charming gem of a game. But I couldn't help coming up with alternate titles the whole time I was playing it:
  • Livestock Is Strange
  • OxenCatsfree
  • Millennial Crossing
  • Richard Scarry's Angstytown
  • Achewood: Gaiden
If any of that sounds even a little bit up your alley, I'd suggest checking it out.

I'd like to say that I never knew setting things on fire could be so deeply satisfying, but we both know that would be a lie.

You know when a TV show enters like its ninth season and all the original cast and creative team have left? How everybody who actually understood what made the TV show good has been replaced by some random studio stooge who's only watched a couple episodes and turned it into a big ugly convoluted mess?

You keep hatewatching that show. You're too invested now, you have to see the trainwreck at the end. But if a friend asks you if it's a show worth getting into, you suck some air through your clenched teeth, wave your hand side-to-side and say "Ennnhhhh."

From the writer of Tales From The Borderlands, I give you an adventure game with an excellent script that switches from comedy to horror to pathos with ease. The scary parts freaked me out, the funny parts made me laugh out loud, and the poignant bits were actually touching. Also gets points for its sort-of-New-Game-Plus mode, which is difficult to describe without spoiling part of the plot, suffice it to say that the second playthrough WILL be different from the first in cool and unexpected ways.

Imagine the movie "Tron," except that instead of existing inside a functional program, you're stuck inside the half-finished demo code for a Richard Garriott boondoggle that's been in development hell for well over a decade.

I've done a lot of morally bad things in my gaming career. Theft, arson, murder, selling my wife into slavery, genocide. The list goes on. But I just tried to impress a girl by pretending I was into Coldplay and now I feel dirty.
