Had 1k hours on Origin, and 600 hours later on Steam, I finally got an heirloom.

Game is amazing. Probably none like this out there as of yet. Great movement, great gameplay, great roster of characters. I just wish it did not reduce its character releases to 1 per year. They also completely stopped all focus on the lore and story this game used to have.

It's not like the game isn't doing great. It is. You'll always find matches within a minute. I don't know why they don't put in the effort to make the game more than just its core gameplay.

There's a certain nostalgia when playing this game past its peak. Every time I play a hero shooter game (most recently Deadlock), I get an intense desire to come back to Paladins and see how it felt back then. Pointless to recommend it now that development is over, but if you ever considered it at any point to try it out, go for it. It is still one of the best free games out there to this day. (oh and SEA region is dead fyi)

I genuinely believe HiRez mismanaged this whole project, they had awful servers that worsened the existing bugs. Here's hoping they learn from their mistakes and relaunch the game anew sometime in the future.
