I am in love with this game it's incredibly fun and addictive (I will say not particularly balanced but also it's a week 1 roguelike so that's kinda to be expected, and there's def enough diversity in fun viable approaches especially if you don't care abt getting too far into endless mode)

This game made me want to kill myself but also made me realize that I'd disappoint the player if I did so really it saved my life.

would very decidedly not recommend when not on sale but for 90% off on sales it's kinda ok for the club access (the medallions are also cool for casual players, although they don't compare at all to what you get grinding competitive and the energy can't be stored and won't regenerate more til it goes below the cap so it's not great unless you're going on a binge run anyway.) mostly leaving this review because honestly support spent a bunch of time dealing with me after my rewards from this pack went to a blank new account (MOBILE PLAYERS BE SURE TO LINK YOUR ACCOUNTS *BEFORE* YOU PURCHASE THIS PACK AS YOU WILL NOT GET A WINDOW TO DO SO BEFORE THE PACK IS REDEEMED) so I feel kinda obligated to.

Game itself is fun to me especially as a mobile game, obviously make sure you enjoy it before buying a pack for it but i kinda do and it's surprisingly deep strategically so. yeah.

on a serious note, while i am addicted to it, the playtime isn't too representative because a lot of it is the game running in the back ground and/or autobattling. the game is *exceptionally* p2win even for a gacha/card game mix, which already lends itself to p2win on both fronts, with a significant amount of the best cards being literally unobtainable without spending real money and many more requiring obscene amounts of grinding. you can't even hold much of the premium currency at once, to further encourage real money purchases especially since most good decks require spending roughly 4-6x the capped amount of currency and yet are likely to shift into being obsolete (due to rapid powercreep as well as bannings) before you can even afford it if you spend your gems working slowly one deck each time you hit the cap

that said, it is an addictive experience, somewhat fun to share with friends that already play (please dont drag more innocent friends into this hole with you), and if you keep very casually can be somewhat enjoyable with low effort autobattle if you do enjoy gacha game farming. This doesn't outweigh the downsides and considering my feelings on the game as well as its monetization schemes, the addictive experience part can be a downside itself, but it is worthy of mentioning

i guess its noteworthy in that it set the stage for a new genre? but yeah it's fun. addictive. changes a lot which you might see as good or bad.
