Far too early in development to release a paid early access
No sound effects, music doesn't play through, all controls are clunky especially the camera, exp rates are so low that it incentivizes you to just catch high level Lughs instead of training the ones you have, and there's already microtransactions. The capture system is also very unsatisfying, you have to knock mons out for ONE chance to capture it, with a very low capture rate. It was exciting to find alternate colored Lughs, but it's very disappointing that the player has no say in whether they get it or not. RNG at its worst.

A good game kneecapped by the devs incompetence. They wanted to make an MMO "lite" but don't plan on adding future content. There are time gated and progression gating mechanics (Palpark and limited Temtem breeding with expensive items for example) that you wouldn't otherwise see in single player games. They also refuse to add an offline mode or multiple save slots. They expect you to use the speedrun mode if you want to play the game again. Cool, but what if I want to keep both progresses once I'm done with the speedrun? The real kicker to me is that there is no way to consistently farm currency in the game. Your options are to do limited daily / weekly tasks, or rely on other players buying your stuff from the in game market.

These are all small thing, but collectively show that the devs are not keen on improving their game, considering it's been 3 years since launch (6 years since early access). I played through the game again recently, and felt no need or incentive to interact with other players, so why is it still being kneecapped by MMO mechanics. I hope their next game either focuses more on actually being an MMO, or just goes singleplayer, because this game's MMO features are half-asses and annoying.

Game won't even launch

Devs are cool and act on feedback. Game previous didn't have a reset function or offline capabilities, but were swiftly added in after feedback was given. Kudos

Game is far too difficult. Even when you have a massive army on your side, if you lose one battle, your economy is toast and the enemy will walk all over you. World RNG feels like it favors the bots and the upgrades to your town are rather vague so you're not really sure if they are worth getting or not.
