I greatly enjoy this commercially distinct property. It lets you play as a skeleton.

Starfield takes all the lessons that Bethesda could have learned from its previous games in Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, it takes all the lessons that the Space Sims genre could have learned for them, and it threw all of it out the window.

Starfield has fallen into the trap of procedural generation that so many sci-fi space games do. Flat, boring, uninteresting worlds filled with shallow, repetitive content and uninteresting NPCs that have only basic, shallow interactions.

The storylines and factions in this game are about on par with Bethesda. Passable to meh. But so much of the exploration and replayability of other Bethesda titles is lost entirely on this game. Even the base building manages to be miles behind anything Fallout 4 and 76 provided.

While I did enjoy some of the set pieces, and the shipbuilding is fun, if frustrating at times, even these features feel somewhat hollow and half-baked. Ship combat is quickly ended one way or the other, and finding a difficulty middle ground is almost impossible. Early ship engagements are suicide, later ones are you stomping a mud puddle into whatever unfortunate soul comes your way.

Overall the game is enjoyable at times, but mostly boring. One can only feed their addiction for improving their ship so long before there's no point anymore.

Half-Baked is probably a good tl:dr for the entire review.

While in beta, thee game is entirely too unstable to be worth the sheer time sink they want from you. I know that's the point, but if you're getting the game to play it and not test it, wait for a stable release, which at this rate may be well after release. I'm not optimistic the game's countless crashing issues can be fixed before launch.

I'm overall not fond of this game's progression and the character and charm of the setting is considerably more washed out than the Vermintide series. Overall it just feels like a far less refined take on Vermintide's formula with half the charm.

I didn't expect the Zelda BOTW sequel to hit steam, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

The game's good fun, but the progression and load times are murder.

If you like roguelikes and FPS games, this is a great one! A fantastic diversity of characters and weapons to enjoy.

And you can now be a turtle that punches things to death.

Epic Games membership means I can't play this without getting a profile on their god awful service. I have owned this game since before it existed.

I adore the game! Great for just relaxing and playing and has seen a lot of support and growth from a passionate creator.

It's Skyrim. I once liked this game but it never really captured me in any way. I've done a lot of thinking on Skyrim. On Bethesda in general. And I don't like it. It's running in circles the game. If you want an in depth review there are a hundred of them. For me the game just falls flat. Every corner you turn, every dungeon you delve, every draugr you kill feels the same. The same. The same. Over and over.

As much time as I've burned on this it's probably surprising to know I don't like it. But I don't. It's better than Fallout 4, but it has a lot of the same pitfalls.

Edit: Yes mods do add to a game, but if a game is broken it shouldn't be up to the community to make it better. Beyond that there are fundamental issues with Skyrim in its combat system.

Well over 382 hours.
