Currently I live in a post-Soviet country and Atomic Heart was a really unique experience to me.

The story is immersive, oddly satisfying puzzle-levels design for a FPS game and great voice acting (I'm playing in Russian voice-over with English subtitles). The reason I mentioned the part about living in a post-Soviet country is because the game has a lot of elements that reminded me of those times. Old Russian music, old Russian cars, old Soviet cartoons (Nu Pogodi) Soviet architecture, hell even the voice actors contributed to it.

The environment is absolutely well made to the point where I'd spend the time admiring the surroundings, and even restart the level if I missed something. Usually, when playing games I just rush through the story and be done with it, but as I said, this game is unique.

To conclude, Atomic Heart is a great game and it would probably have even a bigger effect if you ever had the chance to experience the Soviet life. Ignore all of the biased criticism, as they are obviously hate-oriented just because the developers are Russian and apparently they somehow fund the war, quite stupid accusations / prejudgment if you ask me.

It's barely a thumbs up because the devs were too lazy to fix obvious bugs but not lazy enough to make it compatible with Steam.

It's the story and game environment that saved Mafia I from getting a negative review. Controls having that old 2000s funkiness was also a nice thing to experience.

Great co-op game, I wish there were more choices in the story (mostly it's for the ending) and perhaps it could have been longer. Other than the nitpicking, if you're into story-oriented games that are quite easy to play but still has some stressful moments and a variety of mini-games, this is a must-to-play.

The game-play should take 8 hours to complete if you're going after all of the 18 achievements.

Amazing great, these pixels can make you become addicted really fast.

All it needs for it to be flawless, is to make multiplayer playable.

I played the base game on CD in 2006, and when I saw it on Steam, it immediately caught my attention, so I bought it for nostalgic purposes. However, compared to other superior games like Cities: Skylines, City Life became boring for me after just two hours of gameplay. Nevertheless, I do believe that this game has some aspects that are better than C:S.

Positives
  • The game offers a selection of unique buildings to construct, allowing you to create massive army depot industries or food factory industries for different socioeconomic classes (e.g., Blue Collars);
  • The socioeconomic class mechanic adds a great challenge, as you try to manage and prevent conflicts between different groups of people;
  • The buildings have a visually appealing and remarkably detailed design, considering it's a game from 2008;
  • There are plenty of maps to play on, providing variety in gameplay;
  • It's satisfying to achieve the status of Elites in your city;
  • The interface is well-designed and user-friendly;
  • The game's setting takes place in what seems like the 70s, 80s, and 90s, with funky music and the styling of residents and cars that evoke a strong sense of nostalgia;
  • I didn't experience any game crashes or lag issues.

Negatives
  • There are occasional moments of stuttering, happening roughly every minute or so;
  • Sometimes, when constructing buildings, they can appear visually unappealing due to the large concrete base that aligns them with the ground, particularly on uneven surfaces;
  • As you progress in the game, the demands of your citizens increase significantly. It can become challenging to meet their needs, requiring you to build multiple hospitals for a single district. Additionally, there are several other services that your citizens may demand;
  • Placing buildings, especially those that must be situated on the shores, can be cumbersome;
  • Landmarks in the game appear somewhat down-scaled compared to expectations.

I would love to see this game remastered with the aforementioned issues addressed. It was a delightful experience to revisit City Life.

It's good enough for a demo, but the puzzle solving in this game is pointless. To get the best ending, you must accomplish certain tasks that are completely random and incomprehensible.

I had to watch a walk-through video and I realized how some objectives are based on random chances, and that some objects are hidden in such ways that you would discover them only by an accident.

The demo has really bad practices, but the base game itself is amazing and a must-to-play game.

In this series, the game has deviated from being an usual horror survival to an action survival genre. And they did pretty well with this one, but for the best experience, play with your friend. There were some optimization problems, but they finally got rid of the Windows Live thing, should be good now.

I'd say RE5 is worth at its full price, it offers a great story, engaging combat and its mechanics, characters, art style and overall a memorable experience.

Can't wait for the Resident Evil 5 Remake!!!

For a Resident Evil game it's passable, but the well-implemented action elements and unique game mechanics pays it off. It still has important lore details, so if you want to follow the story, you should play it.

I highly recommend playing with a partner, not sure how the AI is if you play on solo, but with no doubt it will be more immersive and fun to play with a friend. Most noticeable improvement of this game are the variety of combat system and their animations. You can slide, roll, and even crawl while shooting at the same time. The cutscenes are epic and like I've mentioned, it's an amazing action game.

There is one campaign that felt rushed and definitely has a difference in quality, but nonetheless we were having a good time playing it. Sadly, the multiplayer modes are dead and you can't get the achievements.
