The thing about Gwent as a card game is that it's fun. It doesn't care about whether you pour a crap ton of money into the game or none at all; you get decent starter decks, and earning kegs is incredibly easy and straightforward by just playing the game.

The art style is gorgeous, and it has fun mechanics and elements of gameplay that will sometimes require you to adapt to a situation.

It's CDPR, so of course you can expect high standards from this game. Whether casual or hardcore, try it out.

Just started playing this and I'm already loving the in-depth strategy it takes. It reminds me of a nerdy board-game, but a good one where the learning curve is decent. The title "Digital Edition" suggest that there IS indeed a physical version of it, and if so, I want in on that.

To people who enjoy turn-based card-lite strategy games, this is for you. Jump into a match against the AI or test your wits against real humans.

I'll see you at the castle!

Good old Sacred <3 Not as great as the first one, but still pretty decent! Turn off all the camera shenanigan settings and you should be set.

It was a cloudy day when my friend and I went inside our local cyber gaming cafe, where we would always go. There was talk of a new game that had come out this very day and we decided, heck, let's jump into multiplayer and try it out.

Little did I know how much I would come to love this game. Day after day my friends and I would frag each other in Instant Action battles for hours and we had so much fun. Finally, I decided to buy this game because why not give Singleplayer a try. Sadly, my computer at the time was anything but ready for a game like this.

It wasn't until a few years later when I finally got myself a better gaming computer that I could thoroughly enjoy singleplayer for its beauty. Even in 2011, the game was still great. Even in 2019, the game is phenomenal.

Crysis launched computer gaming into the future by miles, by pushing for the best. If you haven't played this yet, you're losing out. Don't let the game that changed the way game developers create their games pass you by. You need this.

.....

"But can it run Crysis?!"

Are you looking for a game that actually provides you with a challenge? A game that may reminisce the good old days, back when games were actually difficult to beat. Back when we made our own achievements and we didn't care for some shiny badge, because everyone knew that defeating the evil boss on without dying was an anchievement in itself.

Then look no further. This game is extremely fun. Extremely hard. Extremely satisfying. The first levels start out easy and smooth, and the transition is nice and gentle and you're enjoying the beautiful graphics, the mesmerizing music, the amazing abilities Giana has.

But, as you get further and further into the game, you become sucked in, like a helpless little worm, who cannot stop mashing those buttons - or keys, if you play on a keyboard, though I highly recommend the Steam controller for this game.

And when you finally get to the last boss, like I have, your patience will be utterly tested. The last boss is extremely, so hard that humans aren't made for this kind of difficulty. This game is a rare gem, let me tell you that.

Don't worry, though. If you're only here for the fancy graphics, then you can play on Easy mode. It should be fairly simple to beat on Easy.

If you REALLY want a challenge, you can try Hardcore mode, where there are no checkpoints.
If you're completely insane and have absolutely NO life whatsoever, you can try Uber Hardcore mode, where a death will take you back to LEVEL ONE. Good luck!

Let's get one thing straight.

To Sacred 1 fans, this game is a total disaster and an affront to old fans like myself.

To everyone else, this is an amazing CASUAL game where you sit on the couch and you play on the controller with your buddies.

This game can't be considered a true-to-Sacred game. You will be severely disappointed if you expect awesome loot sets, lots of cities and landscapes to explore, dragons to slay, and quests to undertake. It's NOT that kind of game. Sacred 3 is not Sacred 1 or 2. Not even remotely close.

This is a pure, casual hack'n'slash with terrible humor (that I love, because I'm a pun-man), cheesiness, and just plain fun. The game does not take itself serious. Even the bad guys joke about craving fish. This is not your in-depth Witcher story RPG, nor your immersion-filled world explorer like the old Sacred was.

The only thing that this game beats Sacred 1 at is the humor. Quite literally, the small, sarcastic remarks your Seraphim would make in S1 this game is saturated with that.
It beats Sacred 2 only with its camera. S2 camera was awful, but that's another topic for another time.

That said, would I recommend this game? Yes, because I'm 25 now and I have become a filthy casual. When I was a teen, I had all the time in the world to play Sacred. And I did. And I kicked ass with my level 206 Battlemage who destroyed everyone online. Those were the days. Those were times when I could play 12 hours a day and not worry. But I'm an adult now. I need a game that gives me something quick, something not too serious.

This game is perfect for that. And now that we have a TV with the Steam Link hooked up to it, it's perfect to just wind down after a long day with the missus and kill some monsters without having to worry what kind of loot we need. There's no backpacks to fill up here, no too intensive skill or talent trees to build. Anyone can pick up this game and have fun with it.

Don't get thrown away by the name. Sacred 3 is everything a casual game should be, but it is nothing like its predecessors. Other than a few references to the old Ancaria and its people and cities, the game doesn't resemble the old ones. The story and world still takes place in Ancaria, but that's about it.

TL;dr: Hack'n'slash. Casual. Fun. Kill stuff. No deep immersion, just pure enjoyment. Only casuals will enjoy this.

Great game! But please don't be that guy (or gal) who plays the third Witcher game without at the VERY least playing this one. Playing the second one makes the third one so much better. Do it.

Seriously, just buy it already. As of 8/29/2017 it's on sale for $2.99. You literally have no excuse to not buy it.
