First and foremost, Nightreign is VERY good. with peak bosses, a solid gameplay loop, good mechanics and controls from elden ring it has more than enough to be called a good game. AND, it's on the cheaper end of games.

It has problems, lack of in game voicechat, no two player only or cross play being the primary. however, From has shown that they are more than willing to work on issues and I dont believe these detract that much from the game experience.

For those who want a challenging single player Souls game, this is likely the hardest in the series but with a rogue-like twist, and those looking to have fun with friends, this is more stream lined than any other From game making it easier than ever.

Let me start by saying that this game NAILS Hogwarts. the castle and surrounding area is spot on. thats about where my positivity ends however. T

he game is too spread out, with too little to do, making you run back and forth across the map doing incredibly mundane tasks that you've likely already figured out how to do on your own.

The area challenges and spread out puzzles are all immature and basic at best, while having WAY TOO MANY of them.

Combat could've been good, with a puzzle-esque spell system, but it ends up being a spell barrage till you win.

There's also not a lot of people to interact with, despite this being a huge school with tons of people milling around. so it's hard to form any particular connections to any characters in particular.

and finally, on that note, this game is way too diverse as well. for a game taking place in the early 1900's with a subsect of a subsect of a global population, it's very jarring to see people of all ethnicities milling about in near equal proprotions. and some, unavoidable, characters even shove their diversity in your face.

all i all, this games not good. it's not horrible, but it's bland and uninspired with nothing to do. 3.5-4/10

A dream come true

Bought this game to to play with friend who finally convinced me it was worth my time. WELP. The long standing game of over 10 years just "suddenly" decided to get an asset change.

I guess the developers are about to find out who the real vocal ones are now.

Ill be willing to change my review after a patch cuz the games pretty solid from the 3 matches ive played testing characters. But it’s crashed more than 5 times, two of which blue screened my computer along with the brring noise of doom. Otherwise my only other problems are that i couldnt unlock the characters as i went and that none of the 6 ive seen had any voise effects of any kind which was very unsettling and strange

I dont really like 2d fighting games, but this one has got me playing like a mad man, the story is interesting and memey, the online is awesome (thanks rollback) with a really neat lobby system. While it’s lacking in characters, they are all very unique and distinct from each other, both in play-style and personality. Don't let the weird name or the My Little Pony art style turn you off, this is a great fighting game.
