Definitely one of the best rhythm games on Steam

+ Lots of songs (~50), especially if you get the Just as planned DLC (~ 96 more songs so far, with 6 more coming every week).
+ Beautiful and colorful environments with cute, likable characters.
+ Easy to pick up for beginners as well as challenging for seasoned players.
+ Flashy songs that go along perfectly with the looks and sounds of the game.
+ Both characters and enemies are well designed and have nice animations.
+ Neat variety of backgrounds and enemies that change accordingly to the "feel" and the "style" of each song. For example, cool, jazzy songs look very different from cute, flamboyant pop songs.

- You have to link your Google account to be able to post your score on the leaderboards.
- If you already own the game on Android or iOS, you will have to buy it again on Steam and then link your accounts. Totally worth it for the price, though!

You start with three base characters, Rin, Buro, and Marija. They all have several different outfits and skills that you can unlock as you play and level up; these skills can go from turning "Great" notes into "Perfect" notes to increasing the speed of the Fever.
Unlike other rhythm games, you won't have to pull gachas or do anything else to get them, you just have to keep playing and FC'ing most songs as possible. As you do, you will unlock several items and when you collect 8 items, you will unlock a specific character. It won't be long before you can freely choose your favorite outfit/skill.
Besides the main 3 characters, you can also unlock "Elfins", cute little creatures who run along with the girls and help them with their own effects.

Gameplay-wise, it resembles a fast paced side-scroller with two lanes where your character has to smash enemies, collect bonuses, and avoid traps. Every once in a while during a song, you will meet a boss who will spawn more enemies. By keeping the combo alive, you fill the Fever gauge which allows you to enter the Fever mode, where notes give higher scores.
Personally, I believe the element that truly makes Muse Dash stand out among other rhythm games is its aesthetics: it's cute, colorful, flashy, lively, sparkling. Even after hours of gameplay, you will still come back to play it because it's just so much fun.

The base version of the game comes with around 50 songs and the Just as planned DLC currently has 16 music packs (one of which, Budget is burning is actually free) with 6 songs each, for a whopping total of 96 songs. Moreover, every week one of the DLC songs if available to everyone.
The game offers a great variety of songs, from vocaloid to instrumental, from jazzy tunes to J-Pop, featuring Japanese, Chinese and English vocals. And they all fit really well the style and the speed of the game.
By the way, you unlock songs in a similar way you do characters, but without the need to collect items: every time you level up, you unlock a new song.

TLDR

A really cute and extremely addicting rhythm game, easy to learn but hard to master. It may look easy at first sight
because, unlike other rhythm games like BanG Dream! or Arcaea , there are only two buttons to hit. But as you start playing harder songs, you will soon realize there's way more to it than meets the eye.
Recommended to both beginners and veterans of rhythm games.

TL;DR
I've played tons of games, from Commander Keen, Deus Ex and Half-Life to Mass Effect, GTA and TellTale adventures and, in my opinion, this is the most wonderful videogame of all time. Even better than Monkey Island, Half-Life, Bioshock, Mass Effect and The Talos Principle, just to name a few.

100/100 thouroughly deserved.
Still here? Scroll up and buy it but wait for Episode 5 to come out before you start playing.

A real masterpiece, the perfect example of a modern, episodic emotional adventure game.

This is going to be a very looong review but I'll try to do my best not to bore you, but to help you understand why I think this is the greatest game I have ever played. I have been playing since I was two years old, and not once I encountered a game who could make me emphasize so much with its characters that I actually ended up laughing and crying together with them.

But, first things first, the technical aspects:

  • Gameplay - Apparently simple, it involves one of the most efficient and "believable" time-travel mechanics you will find in a videogame. One click and Max will rewind time to make different choices that actually matter with VERY different consequences and outcomes.
  • Graphics - Astonishing hand-drawn visuals that make you appreciate the world of LIS and its characters. It's like living in a painting by Monet or Renoir. The lighting effects are superb and the character animation is top-notch; I believe it is way better than TellTale's. All of the people in Arcadia Bay look alive, absolutely natural and incredibly real. Chloe and Max above all. The one and only (but extremely little) downside is the lip synch, which in the earlier episodes is not good at all. But the guys at Dontnod have already explained they had a budget to keep in mind and they focused on other aspects of the game. Plus, in the third and, especially, fourth Episode, it GREATLY improves. Kudos to them!
  • Soundtrack - A marvelous selection of songs which makes you forget about playing and makes you want to freeze those little, precious moments of time, just to stand back, listen to the soundtrack and admire the world of Arcadia Bay as it unfolds before Max's eyes (and yours).
  • Voice Acting - It's the most perfect, real and "immersive" voice acting I have ever experienced in a videogame. Every actor delivers their lines exceptionally and manages to make you actually *feel* the emotions and the feelings of their characters.
  • Camera - The camera work is stunning and gives all dialogues and interactions a cinematic feel which makes you enter the story.

Now, let's talk about what this fabulous game is. It looks like a TellTale game, a nice adventure with a few important choices and some other minor ones. We could compare it with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, for instance. I love TT games, they are really great and I recommend them, too, but Life Is Strange is certainly better and much, much more immersive. It will make you laugh and cry, you will enjoy every little piece of dialogue, or thought, and the more you play, the more you will feel genuinely close to Max, Chloe and the others.

The storyline is amazing and very well written right from the start. It truly is an emotional roller coaster. It will make you think hard about lots of moral questions and it will make you doubt your own certainties.

It will change the way you look at life, for the better.

Conclusion

I recommend this game to everyone, no matter the gaming experience, age, gender.
Even a block of concrete would melt down while playing this hella awesome game.

This is my first review for a game on Steam. I hope somebody will find this useful!

First things first: I have played some of the previous games of the Tomb Raider franchise. They were pretty good and, if you can get past the graphics, still are.

This Tomb Raider is almost nothing like those. Lara Croft is not the over-experienced brave superheroine we were used to know and admire. She is a 21-year-old girl who struggles to survive in a hostile environment. This is a quite new, much more admirable and realistic character in my opinion. As a matter of fact, I think the entire game is truly realistic. It is a gritty, dirty, bloody game in a way. I am not saying it is a survival horror, but it is not a classic platformer either. I would say this game is a "melting pot" because it features characteristics which belong to very different kinds of videogames. And that is why I believe it is a remarkably outstanding game.

Plus, I think the acting is great and Camilla Luddington's voice is perfect for this Lara.

Top notch graphics, neat story, deep sympathetic characters and a fantastic gameplay for a great price. The one and only downside is the presence of QTE (Quick Time Events), but there are only a few of them.
I heartily recommend it.

If I were to give a vote to this game, I would say it is 95/100.
