EDIT: ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY

I stand with my fellow Helldivers when I say the PSN change for PC players is a predatory, disgusting, bait and switch tactic. Not only a shameful business tactic on a part of Sony but a complete disregard for the success of a title that Sony BADLY needed.

Sadly Arrowhead Games will have to cop the rep for a publisher pulling this BS and complete ruining their game. This is simply inexcusable and unprofessional, not to mention possibly illegal.

This game was once hailed for putting SHAME on AAA developers on how to release a live service game correctly and has now come full circle and carries that exact same shame. All because a publisher that was too tone deaf to realize how scummy a simple decision was.

The root-kit level anti-cheat was already a stupid move for a co-op game. The constant bugs, crashes and disruptions of service were frustrating. This is the straw that will break this camels back.

After six long months of putting my faith behind this game its time to admit this game is not finished and the management directing the future of this game have lost their direction or focus on what makes this genre fun and draws players to it.

The game continues to make decisions and changes that do not reflect the wants and desires of the community and ignores the feedback from their community (their customer base). The longer the development process of this game continues the further this game goes down a path of drawing away from an exciting experience for players to a homogenized slog where gameplay is continually dragged down by mechanics that do not add value to gameplay.

Every patch I cringe when I read about more changes that push this game further down the same path and not resolving the fundamental problems that drain more and more players from an already embarrassing low player base. DONT get me started on the various things that are changed and NOT included in patches.

This game is currently struggling to beat their previous title in active players and this should be ALARMING to the management at this company. This is a much more popular IP, a much larger fanbase and an exciting updated gameplay that VT2 DIRELY needed.

Outside of a fundamental rework of balance, gameplay and experience I do not foresee this game recovering from the current direction it continues to head down.

I wont even begin the rant on the gacha mechanics inside the game tied to gear. SHAME on you.

Fallout 1 / 2 reenvisioned in a subterranean hell hole. While unforgiving the game rewards thinking and strategy which combats the difficulty presented within the game. The longer you play the more the story unfolds and the world and its lore is layed out. Fantastic pacing, excellent gameplay and a great experience all around. While the game has its bugs and its not exactly perfect in its design these blemishes on this labor of love are hard to see over all the joy I have had pouring 150 hours in to this game.

What the hell are you waiting for the game is cheap as dirt and a lot of fun. Full disclosure I have not played the expansion but Im planning to buy it after I finish writing my review of the original game.

Space trucking simulator is as real as it gets! Grab your piss jugs and get haulin'!
