Well worth the price, they went all out with this. Tons upon tons of concept art, sketches, and everything in between, with commentary from both main devs.

It's great. Scumhead's done it again. Osiol's art and character designs also add a ton to the world. I didn't know much of what's in the game was even possible in GZDoom, but perhaps that's more telling of my own ignorance than any dev's prowess, I'm not sure. Visually pleasing and diverse environments, many weapons with unique (not to mention interesting) abilities, and charming characters/designs all come together to make Mohrta a fantastic addition to Scumhead's catalog, and a one of a kind experience in general. It has some quirks and jank, but is a real blast to play. My biggest critique, however, would be bosses being a little on the squishy side, and a couple of them could have really benefited from an extra move in their arsenal, but those are both small in the grand scheme of things. I also had some minor frame drops/chugging in a couple places.

It's a banger. Buy it.

Just finished 100%ing it. All four characters are fleshed out and fun to play, combat is extremely satisfying, and there are lots of really strong builds you can make. It's very solidly a roguelite as opposed to a roguelike, the progression between runs is very substantial. My biggest critique would be the lack of ascension or arcade modes. Despite that, this is a very polished and fun experience with a healthy amount of depth and content to be discovered across runs.

It's peak. There is so so so much to this game. Hands down the best metroidvania I've ever played, and right up there with my favorite gaming experiences of all time. I liked Hollow Knight and got something like 104% on my save (I'm only at 71% on Silksong after true ending), but I was never rabid about it like some people were. Silksong improves on it in every way. Better atmosphere, better feeling of progression, better combat (I could write so much more about the combat, it is so frantic and exciting), better story, better world design, more build diversity, more secrets, the list goes on. You owe it to yourself to go into this game blind and see what it has to offer.

A surprisingly polished game. The one thing Death's Door does best is world design and individual level/area design within that. There was an immense amount of time, care, and effort put into making sure that the small, plentiful hidden areas both are signposted properly without being too obvious as well as fitting together within the larger world in a way that makes sense. It's truly a testament to the game's world design that throughout the entire course of 100%ing the game, I never felt the urge to resort to a guide. The game expertly straddles that thin line between making discoveries too obvious and properly rewarding the player
and making them feel clever. Death's Door just makes sense, and is an extremely polished game (save for a few very small complaints I have about specific enemies) with a lot lurking beneath its surface. You cannot go wrong here.

A worthy sequel. This still has some of the awkward/clunky pacing and dialogue that was present in the first game, but that beautiful charm and environmental design dontnod has been praised for remains. I'd argue that the first three episodes here surpass the first game in quality by a hefty margin. Even with some stumbles in the fourth, and some structural issues overall, the game wraps up pretty well and I was left really pleased with my experience. I really didn't think this could ever stack up to the first game, since I hold that one in such high regard due to personal memories, and even replayed it for the first time in five years before starting this, but life is strange 2 is an improvement on most fronts, and a must play for anyone interested in the series or anyone who enjoyed the first season and wants more.

A good game that still could do with a bit more polish. None of the systems are deep enough to support the crazy off the wall and straight up unfair things the game will throw at you on hard mode. There is a LOT of trial and error gameplay that kills a lot of the replay value this game could have. A great experience, for one or two playthroughs, max.

Getting to it a little over a decade late, but this game is worth the hype. I don't want to get too into it, my only suggestion is to go in completely blind and with no distractions. This game deserves all of the adoration it's received over the years, some sequences are nothing short of magical. It is showing its age in spots but it has enough charm to more than make up for it. Playing this now I understand just how impactful this game's release was - a watershed moment for the medium as a whole. Worth every penny.

A stunning masterpiece. My experience with the first game was soured a bit by some design choices I could have gone without, incredibly predictable pacing, & ambiguous level design in parts, but I still thought it was a great game. But having played this sequel, the first game may well not even exist at all. Every aspect has been improved upon substantially. Depth of systems, visuals, scale, quality of life have all received great love and care. Some of that ambiguous/hard to read level design still remains, but it's incredibly focused and concentrated in specific, small areas. The game is what I'd call a light metroidvania - there may be lots of collectibles hidden around, but they're all more or less along the linear path you take through the story. There is very little, if any, backtracking for the sake of it. Every movement rewards you. Everything being so accessible makes the player feel like pieces are constantly being put into place as they progress, you can tell a great deal of care was put into making the pacing feel top notch. Great game, worth the hype, improves over the prequel by leaps and bounds.

Good game. Visuals are still stunning for the most part and while some cutscenes can look a little worse for wear, the presentation here is still incredibly top notch. Movement is a little too floaty and did take some adjusting to, but I was able to adjust on both mkb & controller fairly quickly. Some design choices I could have gone without, like the inconsistency of automatic save points throughout the game (not the density of them, but consistency. Sometimes minibosses would come with one before their arenas, other times not), or how predictable the pacing was, but honestly it is pretty hard to pick apart this game. It's still a very polished and beautiful experience, and is much deserving of praise.
