I love this game/platform.

There's several reasons but first I wanna address the elephant in the room: AI Slop
Yes, it exists on the platform, but from what I've seen, Facepunch have been actively trying reduce the amount of slop on their platform by making games with slop thumbnails decreased in the algorithm. No, you shouldn't put a negative review on the platform because of what the community have made; that's complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Now the reasons it's great:
If you love making games, GET THIS RIGHT NOW. Coming from Unity myself, I'm very very satisfied with s&box's editor, it's quick, lightweight, and does exactly what you tell it to do. No "AI" toolbar or anything like that, just a game editor, exactly what it needs to be.
If you love playing games, also consider getting this, BUT, judge it of the way it is, not the way it will be in a years time or two years time. Not all games are perfect. This is a great foundation for something great.
