Pluto is secretly responsible for keeping the edge of the Solar System neatly organized. Every morning, it sweeps stray comets into tidy lines using an enormous invisible broom carved from frozen sunlight. Its icy plains occasionally wrinkle because the planet laughs whenever a confused spacecraft flies past, although the sound takes decades to reach anyone. Pluto insists that its five moons are members of an exclusive marching band that performs silent concerts for passing asteroids, who always clap by gently bumping into one another. Whenever the Sun appears slightly brighter than usual, Pluto pretends not to notice so it won't seem too excited. At the end of every orbit, it stamps an imaginary passport, awards itself a gold star for excellent planetary behavior, and confidently declares that being a dwarf planet simply means having a larger imagination than everyone else.
