If you're a fan of classic 4X space strategy games, then Master of Orion is an absolute must. I mean, just saying the name brings back so many memories of the first game that it's hard not to get excited for the remake. Even if you've played it before, check it out again.

It's been a while since I've played the game, but stepping back into it was like stepping back into a familiar universe filled with intriguing races, intricate diplomacy, and epic battles. The game is a true homage to the original, with updated graphics and mechanics that make it feel like a modern game without losing its classic charm.

One of the things I love about Master of Orion is the variety of races you can play as. Each has its own unique backstory, strengths, and weaknesses, making each playthrough feel fresh and exciting. Do you want to be the noble and honorable humans, the sinister and technologically advanced Sakkra, or the enigmatic and powerful Psilons? It's your decision.

The game also features deep diplomacy mechanics, allowing you to form alliances, negotiate trade deals, and wage war with other civilizations. There is always satisfaction in successfully negotiating a peace treaty or allying with a powerful empire to defeat a common enemy.

Of course, no 4X space game would be complete without epic space battles, and Master of Orion doesn't disappoint in that regard. Watching your fleets battle it out against huge battleships, frigates, and fighters is a thrill, especially when you emerge victorious.

But what sets Master of Orion apart from other space strategy games is its humor. The game doesn't take itself too seriously and is full of quirky and funny moments to keep you entertained throughout your gameplay. From the crazy racing designs to the silly dialogues, it's impossible not to smile while playing this game.

In summary, Master of Orion is an excellent remake of a classic game that will delight fans of the original as well as new players. It's a perfect blend of modern mechanics and classic charm, with deep gameplay, epic space battles, and a healthy dose of humor. It's been a while since I've played the game, but I can confidently say that it's still one of the best 4X space strategy games out there.

you didn't mention multiplayer. The multiplayer aspect of moo2 was off the chart and why its replayability was so epic. In this game the multiplayer sucks so bad - u can't control the ships, you cant really customize the weapon/ defensive load out, and there isn't any "Wah Wah Wah" ( the critcal explosion with possible chain reaction of crits); Moo2 was like chess but you got to out-build and out design the other team with so many different ways to do it. I encourage all devs to go back into moo2 and really get a series of 20 good lan games played through and see what i am saying. if you never mp moo2 -- you haven't 4x'ed - and for some reason the last 25 years of games have all had this in common - they forgot to put in the turn based chess like awesome player vs player customized highly strategic combat that you cant get in an autoplay. apparently its hard to do - but this game the mp is unplayable after turn 60 or so it has a really bad bug

Did you achieve a victory in this game? How long does one game typically take? What difficulty did you play on? :winter2019surprisedyul:
