First impressions are great!

I love the game's look and the quirky way buildings mesh together when placed next to each other.

The tutorial is a bit iffy in places, but I figured out what’s needed—probably because I've played similar games before. A big shoutout for using both text and short videos to explain the mechanics; it really helped make things clearer.

Since the game's still in early access, it's not the final version yet, but you're on the right track. Best of luck, and here’s to lots of players!

UPD Nevertheless, I agree with the comments that say it's more of a puzzle than a city builder

Super adorable game! Plus, it's free [for now]! What more could you ask for?!

I liked the game, but I'll wait until an easy mode is available. Just because I prefer it here.

So I just started playing this bizarre mash-up of Dark Souls and Zelda, and let me tell you, it's like putting pineapple on pizza – surprisingly good!

I've only scratched the surface, but I'm already hooked. It was strange to discover a world map in Dark Souls, but I've already gotten used to its existence. And get this, there's a JUMP button! I keep pressing it just for kicks, because why not? It's a little odd, like seeing a knight do parkour, but it's still unmistakably Dark Souls in flavor.

I'm not far in, but unless the game decides to throw in a singing dragon or something, I doubt anything will dampen my enthusiasm :)

I saw a comment in another review highlighting that this game isn't about building your deck, and I want to emphasize that too.
The world of this game appears card-themed, giving it a unique style, but in reality, it's a jRPG with an engaging story and a fairly easy difficulty level, which I absolutely loved!

Surprisingly, moving a token around to flip cards and unveil the world was incredibly captivating. The narrator's voice is soft and soothing, a real treat for the ears.

This is the third game in the series, but each one stands alone with its own story, so you can start with any of them. If you enjoy one, you're likely to enjoy the others.

I've completed the first two games (and the demo version, which is a prequel to the first part). Absolutely delightful! I'm thrilled that there's a third installment and I hope there will be more :)

The game is an absolute delight! I never imagined it would be possible to combine rogue-like and base-building elements so seamlessly, and to do it in a style reminiscent of Warcraft 2 or 3.

It's dark, gloomy, rainy, yet incredibly captivating!

The coolest part is that the game runs flawlessly on SteamDeck!

I also want to highlight the amazing level of community engagement. You guys are inspiring! Thank you!

These might just be my first impressions, and maybe I haven't played enough yet, but these are my feelings at the moment. If anything changes, I'll update my review

First impressions are positive. I'll update the review after I play more. Looking forward to the game resembling Dungeon Keeper :)

I had the chance to play this game for a bit and I really enjoyed it. I've never played anything like it before, but I've always been a fan of rhythm games on handheld consoles. The idea of combining that with a shooter was immediately appealing to me as both original and exciting! The gameplay is engaging and offers a fresh twist on familiar mechanics. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique gaming experience!

I initially began playing "Final Fantasy XIII" back when it first released on the PS3. At that time, I had no experience with jRPGs, and found myself utterly stuck at a certain boss, unable to grasp the mechanics even with the help of YouTube videos. I ended up selling the game and didn’t revisit it... until now.

With a good amount of jRPG experience now under my belt, I felt an urge to give it another try, and I'm glad I did. I know the game received criticism for its linear paths, but I find myself genuinely enjoying this format nowadays. Playing on my Steam Deck, it's actually quite perfect to unwind with a game that encourages you to simply move forward, engage in battles, and immerse yourself in a compelling narrative — an ideal choice after a taxing day.

In a gaming landscape that is saturated with open-world titles, there is a refreshing simplicity in not having to remember where you were heading or what you were doing last. Just forge ahead and enjoy the journey without any stress!

Moreover, I'm impressed with how well the game has aged visually. The CGI cutscenes between levels, in particular, are still a sight to behold, bringing a remarkable depth and beauty to the story unfolding before your eyes.

In conclusion, it’s a thumbs up from me! I'm playing with great enjoyment and appreciating the game from a fresh perspective. Whether you're revisiting it or trying it out for the first time, "Final Fantasy XIII" holds a unique appeal that stands the test of time.
