Everything positive you've heard about this game is true, and more.

If someone says to you "this game sucked my ♥♥♥♥" just believe it.

It's that good.

Great entry in the classic series, adapted for a modern audience.

I am recommending this game, but with a big caveat: If you are not a DC fan or a big superhero fan, don't play this game. I will explain further as I go. There is not a lot I can add here but I will try and focus on the most important aspects:

DCUO is a pretty solid, but basic MMO game with gameplay you will recognize and a gameplay loop common to most Pay to Win style games. It's free to play, so it does rely on the in-game store to make money. It's a sad fact, but it's in even the best MMOs now, so I don't really count it against it just for that. The stories are fun, some based on comic stories we all know and love, others adapted from the cartoons or films at times, with regular updates still coming all these years later. The devs do seem to love what they do. The game isn't overly complicated and can be fun for min/maxxing raider adults or for casuals/children.

The problem comes when you reach endgame and it's Pay to Play and the value isn't there. My girlfriend and I had a GREAT time playing highly customizable superheroes (and villains) for quite a long time, but then we just hit a road block where all there was to do was dailies, and haven't played in a long time. I think that is something likely to happen with anyone who doesn't want to pay out the nose for content every time they want to progress.

Otherwise, as a free to play MMO, this is going to be a lot of fun for DC comics fans, but I'd call it a miss for anyone else. The MMO genre has sadly been done a lot of damage and many games with great potential, including this one, have been hampered by a design philosophy that is sadly far inferior to the likes of Everquest, Vanilla WoW, EVE, early DDO and LotRO, and other non-welfare, non-casual games that reward skill, patience and attention span as well as love of lore, rather than button mashing and participation.

That makes most MMO games unappealing, unless the fandom the MMO is focused on is one you truly love. And this game is one of those. If you love DC, go for it. If you don't, use your time on something else.

Currently the best video game in the World of Darkness universe, Bloodlines brings you into what it would be like to suddenly be Embraced, turned into a weak blooded fledgling vampire in the neo-gothic world so masterfully created for the original tabletop RPG.

There's not much more I can add that hasn't been said in many other reviews of this stunning classic.

But, ignore the weak: Go Malkavian or Nosferatu.

The rest are fit only for meals.

Easily the best game I have played in virtual reality. It is very realistic to the comics, especially, and a lot of fun.

The challenge level can be adjusted, and the game is totally accessible even for people who might be in a wheelchair, or even people who can't get out of bed. Very cool because most VR games give these people NO consideration at all. Mostly, by leaving out "point and pull to hand" item interaction - which this game has. No having to hurt yourself to reach that ammo you accidentally dropped.

The story is compelling and true to the theme of the Walking Dead, of humans and the dangers they pose and the moral dilemma but in this case, fear the zombies more than you do the people. :P Pay attention to the alarm on your watch.

You might think you're safe... but until you're back on the skiff to the Retreat, you are not.

It's like living inside H.R. Giger's mind as a story he didn't write unfolds.

Not for those lacking patience and intellect.

10/10 for those who have both.

Here's the deal:

Each game Remedy Entertainment makes is a masterpiece. Nowhere else do you find this kind of masterful story-telling, world building, engaging, atmosphere setting and just captivating design. Remedy blends music, movies, tons of lore and very fun and engaging combat systems in all of their games to create something special, yet familiar.

Quantum Break is the first time they've used big-name actors. Lance Reddick, Aiden Gillan, whichever Ashmore that is (lol), and others. The show is very cool and gives you the other side of the story.

Do yourself two favours though: if you haven't played the Alan Wake games, play those first. Then play this, and then Control. If you want to go deep cuts, go back for the Max Payne games. But play it all and play it in order. You will not regret it, as long as you aren't the no patience, no reading, no attention span type. These games engage you on a deep level but only if you want to be engaged.

Cannot recommend more, at full price, at any price.

Enjoy the ride.

This "game" is absolute trash.
I could write a few paragraphs detailing why, but the other negative reviews have pretty well covered it. Glorified walking simulator; controls are awful, bugs and glitches everywhere, the scares aren't scary and the game explains itself in such a simple minded and repetitive way that I was just immediately put off, even before I dropped the lollipop inside a wall and thus could not progress further.

Which I absolutely do not mind.

Don't buy this for any price - the cost of your time is far, far too high a price to pay for this dross. There are so many excellent VR games out there. Go get those.

First off let's get one thing straight: You can ignore the negative reviews. They were either made before improvements were made to the game and Templar's Overhaul mod was released, or are made by salty players who haven't bothered to check the current state of the game.

Now on to the short meat: Excellent game. The atmosphere, environments, set pieces, design, everything is exactly what you would want and expect from a game with this title. There are still a couple lingering bugs, but nothing that breaks the game anymore - only mild annoyances and not frequent or repeat occurrences, even if you're running a machine that's a year or two older than the game itself. So this is a nice buy for people who aren't running top-tier rigs.

My advice is three-fold: First, watch the installation video for, and install the aforementioned Overhaul mod (as of the time of this writing, 6.0 is the current version, so you need to install that, and then put in the 6,2 patch). Secondly, play on Hard to start. The lowest difficulty setting is too easy. It's for uber casuals and there are two extra achievements for completing on Hard. (Though frankly, I went for max difficulty to start - makes for a much more realistic experience) and finally - turn off the lights, turn up your speakers or headphones, and get ready for a bug hunt.

Game over, man?

7.5/10 only because it requires a little setup which is silly in 2022

This game is the beginning of what is known as the Skautfold Saga.
The gameplay is remiscent of Metroidvanias only in a top down style a la Legend of Zelda if Hyrule were a horror-filled mansion and had a mysterious antagonist.

The other games in the series each have their own style in a different genre, all of them interesting so this is a good place to start and a great buy for fans of dark horror, Metroidvania-ish gameplay, and mysterious protagonists (who look like Alucard from Castlevania, shamelessly).

High quality artwork, great overall design of the map, and fun to play, if a little challenging.

Fell Seal is the kind of game people who have been lusting after a real Final Fantasy Tactics sequel are looking for to get their fix.

With a refreshing art style, well-written story and huge cast of characters, and gameplay that nearly mimics that of the Tactics series (with a few adjustments and new features of course), this game is a must-buy if that's your thing.
