I know I made a negative review for L4D2, but most of my frustrations are more 'it sucks if you don't have friends' which isn't the case there. Basically, it's about getting to point A to B alive while battling hordes of zombies, with the occcasional special zombie with special abilities that'll ensnare you and require another player to help. Don't get the original, pretty much every campaign there is ported to L4D2 already, there's a gamemode that simulates it's gameplay.

Just my 2 cents though. There's probably other great Co-Op games out there which I may not be aware of. (I would've recommended KF1 but seems like you didn't like it going off your low hours from the brief moment I saw your library)
