Isn't worth even a femtosecond of your time in its current state, yes, even though it's free. It's abysmal, and already shows signs of predatory monetisation through loot boxes, and a day one expansion and battle pass, that have about 25% of the entire games content locked behind them,

Bethesda, your games are outdated. Fallout 4 was outdated when it released, as was Fallout 3. I mean seriously, look at the games that released around the same time as those titles, and in comparison, Fallout 4 and 3, are uninspired, underdeveloped indie games.

Bethesda have the capacity to make truly legendary games, as they have. They may have been outdated on release. as is Starfield. But at least those games have the classic "Bethesda" feeling. You could get lost on the way to an objective, postponed by cool locations, stories and enemies.

Starfield, has nothing of the sort. It is a step down, walking in a straight line for 15 minutes to a cave a kilometre away, only to be told "Ok, we'll walk back with you then", where you again walk for another 15 minutes back to the station.

There are no interesting, enemies, locations or stories along the way, just point A to point B. It's mind numbing, uninspired, and boring.

I will continue to play Bethesda's older games, I love them. I've played Bethesda games since I was a kid, but, this game is objectively worse than their other games.

You can do better Bethesda, maybe one day you'll learn that.

Bare in mind these are my opinions, so try not to have a seizure yeah?

Buggiest game I've played, yes I'm making this review 4 days and 46 minutes into release, there have been "patches" released almost everyday since launch, but believe me when I say they made the game buggier. Yes, you can sit there and say that all the bugs will be patched out shortly, it just released, whatever. When did this industry sink to a standard where a game is released borderline untested and they expect us to do it and report it? I don't think it's wrong to say that's bad game development practice. Here's some bugs I encountered just today, even after the day 1 patch and everything.

-Invincible enemies.
-Unable to interact with anything, can't loot, talk to NPC's, open crates.
-Quest soft-lock, no prompt to move wood panel to Barney quest area.
-Sudden player invincibility.
-Enemy detection issues.
-Enemies continuing to attack and move when dead, also unlootable.
-T pose NPC's during cutscenes.
-Zombies in the cutscenes attacking the NPC.
-Falling through the map on fast travel.
-Keybind's for skills are permanent and can't be re-configured.
-Inability to crouch?
-Zombies have to finish their animation before falling, leading to a cartoonish stop and fall when in midair.

While the bugs I encountered are not my opinion, this is: I personally prefer the more realistic parkour of the first game, this is best described as a more arcadey dying light 1, infinitely more forgiving, even on the hardest difficulty. There's a lot more reasons but I've wasted enough time on this game and this review. If you enjoy this game then I'm happy for you, but personally I did not.
