Promise Mascot Agency has an incredible soundtrack, an atmospheric setting that's rewarding to explore, and characters that are as unpredictable as they are unique and delightful. It's everything I adored about Paradise Killer, but still very much it's own game.

There's a lot of charm in this game, unfortunately, it's held back by a tide of bugs. Patients get stuck and can't be moved, leaving you with a permanently angry patient. Sometimes when you delete a window, the wall glitches out and can't decide if it wants to be visible or a blank square. Pathing is often frustrating, with a queue forming outside of a room instead of dispersing equally to open rooms of the same type. Sometimes dialogue skips ahead before the NPC can finish speaking.

Those are just a few of the bugs I ran into. I really wanted to love this game but ended up being frustrated with it.

I absolutely *adore* this game, but it wasn't ready for a 1.0 release and it's heartbreaking to see it rushed out the door while it was so undercooked. It's uniqueness is going to be (rightfully) swamped with criticisms around it's performance issues, struggling NPC AI, and unfinished systems. I don't regret supporting this developer but I really do hope they reconsider their stance and will return to add the bug fixes and polishing SoD sorely needs.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is everything I wanted it to be. The core design is a love letter to DD:DA and as someone who sank countless hours into the original, I'm track to the same with the sequel.

A once a promising project now spoiled by having been abandoned and the pointless inclusion of AI.

The setting is charming, the exploration aspect feels incredibly satisfying and the combat is simple but still has room to grow. I can see myself investing a great deal of time into this game. I'm really looking forward to watching how it develops and grows.

Edit: While I miss the harder combat difficulty the game launched with, the direction it continues to take is really wonderful.

Wildermyth is a charming, inventive game with fantastic writing and tactical components, but where it truly shines is in it's ability to create interwoven stories between your party members.

Lazy Bear Games pretty much dropped the game after it’s rocky launch and only became active again with the mobile release, where upon they released a buggy, underwhelming update marketed as a major overhaul.

It took the developers eight months to patch in promised balance fixes which amounted to removing mid-tier components/crafting from the game. Removing a mechanic instead of actually addressing the issue is incredibly sloppy and shows a lack of care for their own product. This was also done incorrectly as some quests still reward you with these now obsolete crafting materials.

When asked what to do with these unusable materials, a dev responded "we don't sure what to do with them. Just remove them feels unfair but we don't know yet how to reward player for them. As for other bugs - we forgot to update some balance values so... already fixing, sorry :("

How do you forget to update balance values on a patch that is labeled as "globally re-balanced the game" and took eight months to produce?

Some quests were broken by the new patch. One recipe appears 14 times in the crafting log and requires the removed crafting materials to make. Supposedly there are hotkeys now but there doesn't seem to be any way of seeing what they are and players are struggling to find out what they are on the Steam forums.

Just after the game's initial release, the devs also promised additional end game content that has yet to materialize.

I had a colonist who kept starting fires. I had him go mine a support beam underground.

He died, but he made a very nice hat.

What atrocities have YOU committed today?
