game is good because it isn't long enough to do have done anything wrong.
if i had to critique it, the inventory system sucks cause there's like three things in the game total. also combat with tank controls is miserable, Fight Knight being the sole exception.
it's an hour-long setup to what's probably gonna be another game soon:tm:, or a dlc update. otherwise, massive kudos if not a concerned eyebrow-raise at an entirely new character and UI getting introduced within 12 seconds of the game ending.
story seems like next-to complete nonsense because our sweet lovely adorable sweet sweet menhera protag is an unreliable narrator, which is fair enough i guess. also if you're like her at all please message me please please plsplsplspls

Nero, you will never be a real Devil Hunter. You have no Demon powers, you have no arm.
You are dead weight twisted by dismal combos into a crude mockery of a Devil Hunter.
All of the "Devil """Breakers"""" you get are cheap plastic and fragile aluminum. Behind your back, Dante mocks you. Demons are utterly condescending of you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed them to sniff out humans with incredible efficiency. Even Nero's who "combo" look uncanny and unnatural to a spectator.
Your missed Exceeds are a dead giveaway. And even if you get a drunk Angelo to let you combo him, he'll get out of stagger the second you fumble your unstylish, same-y combos.
You will never be Smokin' Sexy Style. You buy out a couple more upgrades every single chance you get and tell yourself that you'll get stylish eventually, but deep inside you feel the B-adass soundtrack looping over and over again like a broken record, ready to crush you under the unbearable dead weight.
Eventually it'll be too much to bear - you'll switch to V, start mashing buttons, get SSS rank, and never look back again. Your DMC-veteran friends will find you, heartbroken but relieved that you finally got to enjoy the game.

Fantastic map game, the twist being that YOU are the antagonist, a shadow presidency (or more pronounced dictator with the Monarch's help) against a foe only as powerful as you let them become.

Something as simple as turning the map black with your dark influence can be done multiple ways, like assigning an agent a hefty amount of gold and bribing a city out of its defenses, then enshadowing it, or perhaps employing a witch coven to vouch for you with their dark worshipping.
Spreading influence isn't the only way to play either. You can recruit orks to harass a nearby nation while you strike the heart of their economy, the food supply network, thus starving their armies until you can plunge your green goblins into their capital without resistance. Alternatively, over several turns, raise and empower FISHMEN from a meagre cult into a legendary terrorist cell, while they in turn act as a catalyst for the spread of madness and chaos.

The best part about all this? That certainly isn't all there is, just what I know about. I know of the ability of a death mage to convert a hero into a vampiric agent independent of their humanity, but I didn't invest enough time to capitalize on it. Alternatively, a skilled geomancer can freeze the world until the equator zone is sub-zero. Blood mages I haven't learned anything about.
I basically just started learning the game. I only just won my first game after 2 other attempts. My god woke up to an already established Dark Empire, and started razing the parts of the alliance that couldn't be entirely defended to the ground. Enough scorched earth to the point that they couldn't recover, and victory was secured within 50 turns. Admittedly boring.

I think that the next god will choose a different victory. Fishy business and laughably insane heroes to buy a maddening win, one for the books. Iä! Iä!

fantastic little spaceship simulator well worth buying full price just to check out for a couple hours. also criminally underrated.
