TLDR, to all sim racing fans, DO NOT BUY PCars3 YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. PCars3 is for casual players that doesn't have much time to put into gaming where they can easily pickup the controller to play a few races before they go to bed. It feels more like an arcade track racing gaming with "sim-like" features than a full on sim racing game like PCars2 or AC. The best analogy i can think of is that it's similar to the Forza Motorsport series where it sells itself as a sim racing game but it isn't.

I need to get this out of the way first, I'm in the minority that actually likes the controller handling of PCars1 & PCars2. Playing the 2 NFS Shift games made me a become a huge fan of Slightly Mad Studios. When PCars1 released, there were many problems but i still enjoyed playing it. When PCars2 released, extremely long and dry career progression aside, it is in my opinion one of the best sim racing game you can buy and play.

The progression: you start with low end cars and you have to slowly earn your way up to buy better cars but some of the cars are locked behind your player level even if you have to money to buy them.
The handling: it feels very arcady even when i turn off all the assists and in my opinion it's a huge step back from PCars2.
Sim features removed: practice & qualifying before races, tire heat, toggling car specific assists and more i couldn't be bothered to list.
Content: massive selection of tracks with multiple layouts for most tracks and much bigger list of cars compared to PCars2 but still lacking in the road cars class.
Graphics: the cars look great, the tracks look okay, the damage model is now only cosmetic and the smoke effects looks kinda bad.
Sound: the cars sound absolutely amazing as expected and the BGM is surprisingly good for a racing game.
Online: i don't like playing online races, so i have no comment on this.

To end things off, the game is actually somewhat enjoyable as an arcade racer and i would have recommended this game if it was a new IP or if it was released as a spin off like Forza Horizon or GT Sports, not as a mainline PCars game.

Everything i like about PCars 1 but a whole lot better, the only gribes i have are that there are still too little road cars and Rally Cross feels wierd on the controller...

Would smash Miharu (the teacher) but there isn't a route for her...
But in all seriousness ASFOS is a great game though in my opinion IMHHW is just a tad bit better.

Good
