Finally started a fresh playthrough and completed the game straight through (minus the one insane achievement because maxing out social skill will take a year of clicking on people). I'm so happy I've backed this series, and glad that I played through this game in it's entirety with another fresh start. The TONS of voiced dialog for well-designed characters is fantastic. This game has never felt like a translation, and the amount of pop culture or deeper references sprinkled throughout are incredible. I usually gloss over the repetitive 'dialog' in games like Stardew Valley, whereas in this game, anyone who doesn't listen to *everything* Cooper has to say is just living life wrong.

This isn't Baldur's Gate, Pathfinder, KCD or some other overly complex combat focused world spanning RPG like those greats. This does definitely feel far more like an RPG than any of the other 'cozy' style farm/craft/quest/mine Stardew-style games out there. 350 hours, this has to be in my top 10 steam games. 107 hours in the last two weeks (with long idle times and whatnot) to do a complete run through is very much a bargain.

Woo.. looks like this is #9 on my playtime, right behind Satisfactory, Skyrim, Civ VI, Fallout 4, SDV, New World (can you count an MMO?), and 7 Days to Die.. if these are the kinds of games you're into, then you'll probably love the hell out of this like I did. If these don't float your boat, I've also put serious hours into SunHaven, Dinkum, Kyneseed, and Coral Island to add some more 'cozy' games to the list.

100% recommend this game, this developer studio, and the next one they are dropping (My Time at Evershine).

I'll just make this simple.
Is it perfect? No.
Is it clever? Yes.
Is it different? Yes.
Can I put it down? No.
So far there are two kingdoms with very different play styles and there are more to come. I'll probably sink a few hundred hours into this easily.

Just finished with all of the achievements, though there are still a few insane things I could do. While it gets a little grindy if you move through these games fast like I do (takes too long to accumulate enough luma power for crafting master level things), the game overall was bug-free for me, really well balanced, great design, and scratched all the right itches. Definitely worth getting.

It's a great little game that has come a long way. Last time I played it, I had a blast... and it looks like there's a ton of content I haven't seen yet that I'm looking forward to diving into from the beginning again once it releases here in October. 50 good hours over the years pre-release, and I'll probably drop 50-100 into it once it drops. Definitely worth the money.

Once again, this group puts out a game that is well built, well thought out, and just plain awesome. Just finished it and I had a blast. It really feels great when your skills and equipment start to outclass people. And the difference between a duel and a warzone scrap. I love that they have taken a slice of history and dove into it more faithfully than any other game I've played.

This is not a true 'open world, 400 hours of side quests' kind of game. This is roughly 30 hours, very entertaining, and worth the price. I played the previous game and it was about the same thing in terms of completion time and enjoyability. I have a lot of games that I put countless hours into and never complete, and it's refreshing to have a solid reasonably sized game that is enjoyable throughout.

It's game award time, so review-for-badge time :)
This was an incredible game to play, and I'm looking forward to starting from scratch and settling in the desert for another play through in perhaps 6 months or so. Everything about this game is fantastic, and it deserves the awards it's been getting.

The style of the artwork is nice to look at, and the game play is fun enough. I put about 30 hours into beating the whole game (quest wise), with most achievements, and the occasional asking for help/clues when stuck on something. That being said, the game was enjoyable, with perhaps some balance issues and bugs, but the small dev team addressed bugs very fast and clearly cares about their project. I'll likely come back in the next couple of updates as the romance system gets fleshed out, so I can get those last cheevos. :)

This game is very engrossing. It has been a long time since I popped into an open world game and just enjoyed the hell out of exploration. I've wandered, and been rewarded. Also frightened. At one point I, in my 30s?, stumbled across some level 80 giant I-don't-know-what that chased me down, until I ran into a graveyard full of risen skeletons, and tried to lose him in there by turning into a stone giant and juggernauting my way out of the area as quickly as possible. Also, for all my cockiness, my first death was to a god, so that feels decent :) Definitely addicting and extremely well made. I have run into translation/grammar errors, but nothing else that has hindered my game play, or crashed the game at all.

Space Fallout. They took years to make this. I waited years for this. They're happy. I'm happy.
