Game crashed 25 minutes into a run and didn't save any progress. Unacceptable for a game in this genre.

Edit: A few hours in and crashed a second time. Very addictive and fun game but losing progress like this is terrible.

Seems fun but I can't sink hours into a game that does this.

Game is literally broken. Can't pause or save. Also black screen after prologue.

I wish this game were good. Horrible UI, unintuitive and opaque game mechanics, imbalanced difficulty.

Unfortunately the original developers passed the game on to different devs who released a new patch which broke much of the game.

They may fix it in time, but the fact that the game was broken like this in the first place is already unacceptable.

took 34 hours to get to "the end" (not really the final end)
there is a lot of content here. not as much as slay the spire or other deckbuilders, it is a smaller game, but it is very well done. good gameplay, art, music, fun little story.

it may not be played for hundreds of hours like the most popular deckbuilders but it's still very fun and worth playing if you like the genre. if you really like it and want to push the higher difficulties, it'll take much more than 34 hours to really master it and push further.

right before i bought the game the devs added some more enemies and bosses. so it appears that they're still adding to the game. but as it is, it's still good.

if the current price seems worth it for 34 hours and you like deckbuilders, i'd highly recommend it.

also, there's a lot of options when it comes to starting ship and crew, which affects decks/strategy, and there are choices along the way in each run. so there's a good amount of decision potential along with the randomness that comes with roguelikes.

Like vampire survivors, but you actually need to use your brain to clear more content.

Vampire survivors is more chill, just be idle kind of auto shooter.

Boneraiser minions, you have to dodge, make builds beforehand, have strategy etc. I like both games but Boneraiser Minions is blowing me away.

If you like Vampire Survivors you'll probably like this, and even if you hate VS you may like this. Deserves a more thought out review written, I might sometime.

So many soft locks and bugs. Better to just watch a letsplay of this. Imagine having to redo 15 minutes of tedious gameplay because of a softlock.

Very fun, interesting, short little game. Took me 2.2 hours to beat.

The gameplay consists of choosing dialogue options. There is really no way to lose or any challenge.

The goal of the game is to experience and explore the short little story, the setting, and the mystery at hand. And it's all very interesting.

Worth going into as blind as possible.

Minor spoiler: there aren't really many different environments or characters. So there isn't a lot of content. It's sort of like a visual novel.

If you enjoy sci-fi, a short little mystery story, and a laid back experience, I recommend this game. Keep in mind it's like a visual novel and is very short and light on content.

My only complaint is I'm not sure if it's worth $6 considering how little content there is. A better deal than a movie ticket.

The story was a very intriguing and fun ride.

critically acclaimed for good reason.
i've played Slay the Spire, the first big deck builder roguelike, for hundreds of hours.

just bought Balatro and already +40 hours played. it looks simple but is deceptively deep.
i can already see myself pouring hundreds of hours into this. and i've played other deckbuilders, none others clicked like this.

it has a little shorter run length than StS, which is good to pick up and play.
every run gets optionally converted to endless mode if you win, something i wish StS had.

the art, music, sound, and UI design are all delightful. everything feels satisfying.

most players will compare this game to StS. it is different enough that it doesn't replace StS, but it is just as good in its own way. if it were just more StS it wouldn't be as interesting to me.

PS: i wish Griftlands (third favorite deckbuilder) were as good as this. the problem with Griftlands is it's too slow even at top speed, and each run takes too much time and mental investment.
