Give this game 40 minutes of your time and a bit of patience. After that, it will do the rest - you'll forget to eat, work, and sleep.

I rarely leave positive reviews, usually only criticism. But this game is something else. Mega amazing!

And that's after playing only the Early Access version!

Do yourself a favor and start with the tutorial. I strongly recommend it!

Grabbed Old World for 3–4 euros on sale. At full price (~39€), this game requires a warning label.

Nothing is wrong with it. It’s just impressively boring. The UI works, the systems make sense, the history is solid — and somehow the fun never shows up. It’s the kind of game that explains things very well while quietly draining your interest.

People keep bringing up Civilization when talking about this game. I wouldn’t.

Very glad I bought it cheap. Would not recommend paying more.

I guess everybody here is favorably comparing this game with the epic "Heroes of Might and Magic" series. Despite the fact that "age of wonders" is generally well done and nicely designed product with even deeper gameplay than "heroes", I couldn’t make myself love this game after first 4 hours of playing experience. Why ?
Weak story (nothing remotely exciting)
Poor choice of factions
Only 2 campaigns in basic game version (for 34 EUR )
Boring

Resuming all this if you are expecting worthy successor of HOMM this game won’t satisfy you. It is only distant mimicration of a mighty title. Overpriced mediocrity.

Not a slasher.... joke ! Glad I payed only 4,49 EUR on christmas sales. Comparing to to other, unfortunately less popular slasher - complete disappointement. You cannot control swings of your hand weapons., the power of archers string and a lot more. All dynamics of the game - from character movement to realistcs of graph is so dated. Strongly not reccomending this title.
